Sharks to get an almighty pasting. They look clueless.
35-6 just about right. :nta: Havent watched this one and dont intend to. They have a 10/12/13 problem and no easy fix for this.
They have a coaching problem and a 1 to 15 problem. Don't get me started. Smith had the third bad game in a row. Terblanche has no fucking clue whatsoever. Pienaar is not a 10. etc etc etc. Could write a book.

"Pienaar is the Ruin (sic) of Durban" The "Ruin", ha, ha! Looks like someone over on The Roar agrees with you, Blue. Check this: http://www.theroar.com.au/2010/02/27/pienaar-the-ruin-of-durban/#more-28320

Whover wrote that, one gas to agree. Pienaar looks like a player with the world on his shoulders.

But the coach is a bigger problem...

The biggest disappointment over the weekend was the Tin Ears. This match vs the Highlanders was supposse to be the one they have to win to show they are not wooden spoon material. How the hell they gave the whistle to a qouta is juts beyond me. Swear he thinks its old rules for Thomson and new rules for Brussouw. Thomson did all the wrong things at rucktime and should have been binned before half time. Brussouw tackled his man, show his open arms and then drive over and still get penalised time after time. The Tin Ears losies the only players that played with guts but the rest played like schoolboys. Disappointing and now they will face the Hurricanes this weekend.

The Stormers is now in a make or break situation against the Highlanders this weekend. Schalkie & Blaauw will be back and I hope for a bit of backline reshuffle. Pie Eater had his big game against the Tahs and now will play kak for the next two years. When Dewaldt came on in the second half against the BumBoys he sure give more space to the backs, more front foot ball to the forwards with his service and have a much better kicking boot. I'd love to see Cronje getting the 10 jersey against the Highlanders and Grant shifted to 12. Cronje use the grubber or short kicing over the opponent backline much better then most and thats the way to play against the Highlanders. Up front we need Blaauw against the Highlanders impressive scrum. The Stormers need to get the ball out wide!

The Brutes have a bye this weekend and I will not survive another blackish Saffer S14 round!

They seriously need to drop Spencer. He has done squat. Francis looks good and should be given a chance.

This is not good for SA rugby. Francis is a guy who has Bok potential and he is getting splinters in his butt.

Thompson has always been a penalty magnet, so I'm not surprised that he infuriated you to watch.

By all accounts he played very well though and was instrumental in the victory. Perhaps some credit might be due instead of thinly veiled accusations of a biased ref?

Rod McCall (65)
Boet ja, maybe credit for confusing a qouta ref, probably the Kiwi player I dislike the most and sure MR wont blame me for this. a Man that beat up his Mrs but allowing a Cockette tiny scrummy to allow to floor him with what we call a poesklap. Thats just beyond my imagination!

Just saw we'll have some great rugby on Newlands on saturday. SA U20s vs Argentina at 13h00, WP Vodacom vs Sharks XV at 15h00 and then the big one at 17h00.

Taking the laaities with me and will have the osse early up, just hoping they will move fast in the current heat we have in this part of the world.

Great bonus point win by the Stormers laid by the forwards and great scrumming vs a good scrum,

and the Tin Ears show they can do it! Brutes stay at top and Stormers move to 3rd. Could not ask for more!

Good week, bad week for the kiwis... Clean sweep last week, then the only winner this week was by one playing another team!

Nice to see the tournament close up a bit. Bulls in the driving seat, although they haven't done their tour as yet.

Ja last weekend I had the same feeling. Had my tickets for the match and had to give them away after my boy played Boland cricket trails. When we arrive at the venue only to find a bloody soaking pitch and Oom had to make a few phone calls to get another venue and their match only started afte 12 and finished just before the Newlands game. The performance of our youngsters like Blaauw, Energade bunny Fourie, Duvenhage. Piet Louw and Ebersohn made more then up for it.

Rod McCall (65)
Righto , this weekend we'll have the Hurricanes on Newlands while the Bull Ring will feature the Highlander Clan.

After the Tin Ears match vs the Canes I have full confidense in the Stormers to roll over the Canes. The Stormers have the best defense in the competition (only leak 2 tries after 4 rounds) by far and the Canes a team full of flair but also one that can get easily frustrated . Also think with Blaauw back the Stormers scrumming is much better and our lineouts and breakdowns always a strength.

The Highlanders vs Brutes will be interesting. Pretty sure your measure stick in scrumming come from the Highlanders but the Brutes surely in another league compare to the other teams at the moment.

Tin Ears have a unwelcome bye this weekend.

Rod McCall (65)
The difficult one to predict (hopefull I'll be there to watch this one) and double points on offer for both teams. This is a make or break one for the Stormers. If they win it, the road will get even tougher for the Canes having to go to the Bull Ring next week.

Harsh on Fourie going back to the bench but probably a very good impact player. I'll play him as a fecther flank from the bench.

Da easy one, Brutes should put up a record score against the Clan without Thomson and that stupid flyhalf that saw trees after scoring a try.

Great win by the Stormers last night. Glad I made the effort to go to Newlands and must say the best crowd passion I sure found at Newlands in a very long time. When they start singing "Stormers jou lekker ding" you must know they play some awesome rugby. The Canes scrum was good but thats where it ended, everything else was just the home team, excellent defense and attacking play. Juan de Jongh & Dewaldt Duvenhage are look like Bok players at the moment and the best game I saw from Nakalivatiekakie. That hand off or should I say knock off of the highly rated Corry Jane was priceless to watch.

The Brutes put up another half a ton against the Highlanders but still their defense look a bit shaky. Pretty sure they'll patch this before this weekend because surely we dont want to give a 4 pointer to the Kiwis.

Looks pretty impressive to see two SA teams at the top and hope they'll keep it up!

Good start to the season for those SA teams, for sure.

how many games have SA teams won this year away from home?

None. Or haven't you been watching?

But I take your point.

Stormers traditionally have travelled the best of our teams but had a nightmare last year losing 5.

Bulls won 2 last year on tour and lost 3, all within 3 points. They have been getting better at travel.

Both play: Force, Blues, Chiefs, Reds

So they should both beat the Force, and get a few bonus points here and there at least. The other three games are all very, very difficult and impossible to call. The Reds are looking great, but one never knows who of those two Kiwi sides pitch up on the day.
I think one point in their favour is that they both start their tours sitting at the top of the log, They are usually not in that position and already under massive pressure when they hit the road. For that reason I think they have the chance of doing better.

I am way more positive this year for the tour part of both teams fixtures. Two years back when they played the same opposition the Stormers lost only by a whisper against the Blues and the Brutes had a good one aswell. Thats the nice thing about this two, they play the same oppo week after week. They also starting with the Force making it a shorter tour this year.

Dont like to look futher then the next week tho and the Stormers have the Tin Ears and Brutes the Canes. I am not to worried for the Stormers (they had their hick up against the Bumbries and always thought they will either drop one match vs them or Canes) but since then they grew week by week as a team and on form. The Brutes are now right at the top and they can easily slip this weekend against the Canes. The Canes are a very unpredictable lot and the Brutes defense not convincing lately. Hope they fix this.

Looking at the tour matches, that Blues & Chiefs matches will be the difficult games for both teams.
