This makes the England match a must-win, basically.

You can put us and England on 9 and 11 points as both will earn a bp against Uruguay.

Wales will get to 13 at least and maybe 15 depending on bp earned against Fiji and us.

We will have a hard time getting to 15 if we lose to England.

We will know more after Wales play Fiji, obviously.

I tend to agree, although in this group winning all matches was only ever going to be the sure way to qualify. 2nd place is going to be tight.

We just have to keep winning and based on this match, there's no reason why we can't beat both England and Wales.

I guess the English media have by now divided into two camps:

The ones getting up Robshaw for not taking the three, thereby costing England a World Cup, and

The ones waiting for England to exit the Cup before getting up Robshaw for not taking the three, thereby costing England a World Cup.

It really was strange, of all countries who you'd expect to take the 3 and settle for a draw it would be England. And you're dealing with supporters whose loudest cheer of the night came after they received a scrum penalty.;)

Actually based on this match, there is no reason why both England and Wales can't beat us.

Besides the 'Pooper' and Folau what area's are we perceived to be stronger? I can't see any - certainly isn't our back line with how they've been playing this season.

Both games are going to be to close.

I'd have taken the three for sure esp as there was enough time on the clock for a restart & it's at least possible England could've regained possession & got themselves back into drop- or penalty goal range again. As you say, it'd be ironic if the team that would kick their maiden aunt if there were three points in it goes out cos they chose not to for once.

Agreed. I did not finish watching this match thinking that either of the teams looks more beatable than I thought they were heading into it.

I was never confident of going 4/4. Right now I am not confident of 3/4.

Obviously the games will be close and of course there is no reason why either England, Wales or both couldn't beat Australia.

What should give us some confidence is that England played an England text book game and still lost to a team severely weakened by injury. Wales will be injury weakened, we won't know the extent of it until we get to play them in a couple of weeks.
