Poey does use his knee to the ribs... its a non-event but if the incident was isolated, the argument could be made for anything including aggravated assault according to citing officers current form

It's fair to debate whether Mumm's actions were a penalty offence but he wasn't yellow carded for taking the man out in the air.

He was yellow carded for repeated infringements.

Recent history against SA is good and with their hot/cold form I think they're as ripe for the taking as they'll ever be. But the last time you guys beat NZ, Neil Armstrong still had 6 years of training ahead of him before he would stand on the moon.

Anscombe is copping a lot of flak which I think is unfair.

Thought Anscombe went quite well considering he'd been injured & must've been pretty rusty match fitness wise. The only real mistakes he made were a couple of loose kicks.

The worst part is we're going to have to stick with Cuthbert, who on current form shouldn't be in the squad never mind the starting XV.
The only real option is Hook at 13 and North back to wing ?
Outside the squad a real curveball would be drafting in someone like Dirksen or Prydie but I can't see that happening ?
Would they risk Morgan against SA ? Hmmm, don't think so ?

The return of the witch did cross my mind. Trying to erase that thought but he is an option. Ook would be pretty pissed off tho. I'd go with Morgan. At least he can pass. Is Tom James still injured?

I was thinking the same about Cuthbert too. He's like a cheap knock off of North. At first glance he looks pretty similar but once you look closer you realise that the "Gucci" bag is going to fall apart the first time there's a light shower.

His basic skills just aren't up to scratch. He reminds me a lot of Andrew Trimble before Joe Schmidt became Ireland coach. Lots of good attributes on paper but basic skills not up to scratch. No point having a guy on the wing who either drops passes or takes so long to gather them that the defence can line him up.

I'm sure if someone spent a season or so really focusing on the basics with him he'd be able to reach his potential.

when you read about the kinds of things that the best wingers like Habana do to improve their game you realise it's not just about natural ability. The amount of work you put it has a big impact on your performance in clutch games.

Currently he wouldn't be anywhere near the 23 for a fully fit Wales team. But fully fit isn't going to happen this RWC so he has to step up or Gatland has to give someone else a try. Either way it's a gamble, but betting on Cuthbert hasn't come good so far this RWC.

I posted half way down this thread that our attack would let us down as we don't have much of one left, which I think was the case, we got over your line 3 times was it good defence or poor finishing.
As for the 10 min we had you under pressure without a score, our game is built around a dominant forward display, which I think went OK, but our attack is predictable, from one side of the field to the other, thus easier to defend, thus 13 men could do it as well as 15, not taking away the heroic defence of your line guys just trying to explain it.
Now Roberts, and Sanjay are injured, I believe Sanjay was not 100% going into the game.
If their injuries are serious we have real problems going into the next game.
