If all these players are getting cited then why aren't the referees getting hammered for not giving out red cards for red card worthy incidents?

I think it's a generally accepted practise (if enshrined nowhere in the laws) for referees to err on the side of caution when issuing red cards, and for the citing process to take up the deterrent slack. Personally I'm very happy with that. I'd much rather see citings for punishement than red cards ruining games.

Apparently so. Im just waiting for the tie into the Nazi's and then the circle of internet life will be complete.

Which you've just done.

People shutting down Internet discussions always accuse the other side of being about to introduce the Nazis.

And they generalise!

I am too. I'm very vocal about the need to end red cards even for terrible incidents but it doesn't make sense to claim citings are red card threshold incidents. World Rugby needs a complete citing and judiciary overhaul.

You're right. It's another example of World Rugby's woolly language.

(If I was a Kiwi I'd find that last sentence sexy.)

(Hey that's a business idea - a phone sex line where New Zealand chicks read woolly language from the Rugby Laws. "Momentum". "Red card threshold.")

Payten just tweeted that Folau is in doubt, struggling to overcome rolled ankle.

Look, I'd say it's fifty fifty for us against the Welsh but with all the Welsh injuries I would be very surprised if they beat us.

They will be proper farked after the Aussie game and we should be in good nick.

And we won't be able to complain about the 10 day gap between USA and the quarter final.

I can't say I have a solid view on the game. It's the Springboks. In 2015. We can win by 20 on the day, or we can lose by 20.

Superbru is such a nerve-wracking experience with the Boks this world cup.

1. this is the AUS v WAL thread

I know, me too. :p

By the way, before the weekend I would've put my money on Wales. Now it's firmly on Australia.

I also like the Aussie team vibe more - Quade gave it a bit of a twat feeling. Amazing how much one player can have an influence on one's view on a whole team. Foley is a no fuss reliable player who does his talking on the field. Very impressive.
