RWC 2019 Japan vs Scotland

Ireland having beaten Samoa, the only way for Scotland to make the QF is to win, by any margin, while denying Japan any bonus points. If they do that they win themselves a QF v NZ which could be rather tasty given some of the shite-talk emanating from Scroteland's management viz AB's of late.

If Japan lose but get a bonus point they play NZ.

Every other possibility, including cancellation, results in a NZ v Ireland QF.

Personally I'm with Sully: I want to see the match proceed & for the Scots to get made sushi of.

hardly an exaggeration to say the biggest match in Japan rugby history. They should win. The Scottish forwards will not know what hit them. re:Ireland match.

The unparalleled and astonishing 240 days of this year in camp will ensure, teamwork and fitness-wise, they are a well-oiled murder machine. I predict a divine wind of bayoneted retribution for Scroteland buttfucking them out of the last RWC when Japan won 3 games and somehow went out in the pool stages

Plus, if its tight, Japans screaming crowd support might tip it for them. Although I wonder if that might work against them too, the weight of pressure a la their opening fixture vs Russia

I think this match will depend on which Scotland turns up. If it's good Scotland -- the Scotland that just about turned over a ~20-point deficit at Twickenham earlier this year -- then they should be favourites. If average Scotland turns up it can go either way, but would probably favour Japan. If Scotland-from-the-Ireland-pool-match show up then they're done for.

Given that Scotland cannot eliminate Ireland anymore I am, personally, hoping for a Scottish win; but one that allows Japan to progress as the 2nd seed. For the entirely selfish reason that it'll give the AB's a relatively easy quarterfinal with a 99.99.....% of winning. Would also send Ireland onto France, South Africa, and Wales' side of the draw where they can all slug it out before staggering into the final.

Camp Leader has informed me that Greig Laidlaw is the most handsome man in the Scottish team.

I have booked her an emergency optometrists appointment for halftime

Japanese efficiency. 240 days in camp this year is why they’re easily the most polished unit in this World Cup.
