So glad that Pocock's calf seemed good.

Folau will be better for the run but wasn't great. Beale could replace him but he's such a good option on the bench.

I think he tried to declare himself fit but failed.

He's fully fit now. The cut under AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s eye was from a clash with Horne at training at the end of the week apparently.

Mitchell has taken his chance with both hands. Horne is unlucky he got injured and lost his spot but Mitchell will deservedly play the final.

Wallabies can't carry a 70% fit Izzy Folau in the RWC GF, he displayed some chinks in his armour tonight and the All Blacks would have been taking notes.. If Izzy isn't near 100% next week then i don't think he should be starting.

As for the game, well we can all be negative nancy's and highlight all the obvious deficiencies in the game and lament how the All Blacks would finish them off... But fuck it, the Wallabies are in the RWC GF, I'm going to enjoy the moment and worry about those from across the ditch next week.

Good result from the boys.

Short turnaround for the next one, though.

A few things for Cheik to be working on.

Even as a Wallaby supporter i can accept that many of those penalties were deserved.. Argentina played a good game and i definitely don't think that it was just Barnes which was keeping them in the game, they deserve more credit then that.
That said, that shocker right in front of both Barnes and peyper that should have been ours not theirs was a mini turning point. I'll look forward to WR (World Rugby)'s clarification on that one.

Well I thought great semi final (well both games were), you have to feel a bit for the Argies as I did for the Boks yesterday, as once again we saw the team that was beaten just give it 100% to the end, much like all of this WC it has been great rugby to watch. Congrat to Wallabies of course as they played bloody well, and in Pocock I suspect you have fairly close to International player of the year, though not sure when cut off etc was for that.
Anyhow it just seems right to me that we all know the 2 teams that have made the final have had real hard semis and noone has just got to walk into it. Personally I think it good for the game. not sure about getting up at 2 in the morning for work though!

MOM brought to you by the same folk who voted for Joe Launchbury.

Surprised Joe didn't get too many votes today.
They've scrapped the public voting after the pool stages.

Time to start planning a BBQ that doesn't start until around 10pm.

NRC Final followed by RWC Final..It's going to be a big day next Saturday.

Very poor summary. Only reason the Argies are even in the game is Barnes. Penalties now must be about 100 - 1.

We have a tendency to give away more penalties as we go so hard at the breakdown and push the boundaries. They also had more possession and dominance at the scrum until all the replacements were on. I don't think it's fair to say they were in the game due to Barnes. They were in the game cause they're a pretty good side that put us under pressure. And I doubt they're singing Barnes's praises after that yellow card either.

Great game. A few things that irritated but I don't think anyone could argue with the final result. Argentina have just become my 2nd team I think.

Pocock makes so much difference. Maybe we need 3 7s in the backrow? Although you'd have to be an idiot to drop Fardy right now -- he's almost what we were hoping Rocky would give us.

Looking forward to next week. The All Blacks would have to be huge favourites, but I reckon we make them nervous more than anyone at the moment. Especially Pocock.

I'd put Hooper, Pocock, Fardy, Douglas, Moore, Simmons, Giteau, Mitchell ahead of him.

Giteau - did nothing and was subbed early. Certainly, Poey and Fardy best on ground but AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was far better than Moore and Giteau. Moore will have to get more height on his lineout throws or we'll lose a bag full of them to Whitelock next week.
