Some people reckon Cheika/Ledesma purposely let the media see their notes... Right... no chance.

Wasn't anything revealing however. May as as well have said tackle the guy with the ball.

The notes said the following:

What the notes said

• Kickoff #5 and keep Poey [David Pocock] back (no Carter rage) (high as possible)
• Kickoff receipt #4 Kieran Read (get him rattled)
• Kick receipt shift off edge, forwards then snap to Snow or play
• Own the air space, catch everything, chace everything, escort wingers!!!
On Defence

• Carter running right to left
• Nonu steps back on the inside when linespeed against
• Badge defence (Wednesday morning)
• Turnover spark in attack and defence
On Attack

• Lineout attack gainline front foot speed. Expose Milner-Skudder and Savea under ball or in backfield

That's pretty basic stuff hey? Reminds me of the core skills and contingencies England under Sir Wanknozzle had in 03.

I doubt the All Blacks would get side-tracked by this. If they focus on what the Wallabies will do, they will only make their own lives difficult. Sure that they're just going through what they need to do themselves.

That piece of paper shows why we are so more better than the Dingo era where xfactor players were free to play what was in front of them. It shows me how meticulous we are now and how ruthless we are prepared to be. I am sure the Kiwis are familiar with our tactics, we play them all the time. BRING IT ON!!!!

Michael Hooper turned 24 on 29 October.

The party was delayed until the evening of 31 October due to a work commitment, but here is a picture of him opening his birthday present from the ARU.

I posted this somewhere else, but it might as well go here too.

OK, gotta write this now, will be far too nervous later.
I'm sitting in my man-cave at home last night and Mrs Cyclo walks in and asks "How much longer to the game?".
"31 hours" I say.
"You'll be devastated if they lose"
I thought about this and I really won't be.
If they play their best, and we win, I'll be ecstatic, if we lose to an ABs side playing better, then I can't be too down on it. After all, a year ago I couldn't see us making this game, even pre-tournament I thought it unlikely. If they play poorly, I'll be pretty disappointed.
Just as the ABs are farewelling some legends tonight, so are the Wallabies in all likelihood.
So I hope, for players like Carter, McCaw, Mealamu, Smith, Nonu, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), maybe Giteau and Mitchell too that the game is a good one, with some good attacking rugby, and no controversies.
I hope for a Wallabies win, I think it'll be a close-ish ABs win, so all the best to both teams and the supporters

Just bought a jersey for my son in the city. Lots of people buying wallaby stuff, a really good vibe. Whatever happens tonight Cheika and team have done something great for Australian rugby.

And we will win btw.

Evidently the local Rebel Sports store has had to restock their Wallaby jerseys three times this week. Pretty amazing.

As for the game. I have quite a bit of confidence of a victory. There's just something about the happy and relaxed look of the team that is just giving off the vibe that if NZ are to beat us they'll have to play out of their skins to do it.

This was the NZ starting XV in Sydney this year:

1 Woodcock
2 Coles
3 Owen Franks
4 Retallick
5 Romano
6 Kaino
7 McCaw
8 Read
9 Aaron Smith
10 Carter
11 Savea
12 SBW
13 Conrad Smith
14 Milner Skudder
15 Ben Smith

A really strong XV with the best available in that moment.

Why underestimate a starting XV with Sonny Bill Williams? A year ago NZ made 50 points with Ryan Crotty at 12!!!! And 2 years ago the ABs beat Australia with SBW at 12. So definetly was a step up for this team.
