Carlos will be forever remembered by that pass. Shame, his Blues team was so damn good in those years. Rupeni, Rokocoko etc etc.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ 'Twas the jinking run that created the try, not the pass......... oh, you mean THAT pass? As you were then :)

I know I've posted this before but he threw & got away with a similar pass in a Blues game earlier that year prompting a mate of mine to say something like "he better not do that shit at the Cup, someone'll get the intercept & we'll be fucked" and another mate to observe that in the same situation he'd throw the same pass regardless. So when he threw "THAT" pass I'm pretty sure we weren't that surprised & proceded to blame Mitchell & Deans (moreso Deans) for leaving Merts at home.

Mertz was too busy on the sauce.....

Reason #139 why the All Blacks MUST win: after several hours of goading by workmates & customers (they played Waltzing Matilda roughly 20 times FFS) I declared that I'd drink, in one go, at room temperature, after it's been open for four hours, one of these fuckers if we lose:

Thats a step too far, no bet should involve drinking that shit. Its 10 times worse than Lion Red.

It remains a mystery to me how a country that prides itself on its beer culture could produce 4X, Suffolk & Westend. 3 of the worst beers I have tasted anywhere in the world!

For your sake I almost hope the AB's win.

Like a few posters have alluded to on this forum I've sensed a disturbance in the force of late and I'm actually quietly confident about this one.
We are in a phase of ascendancy and the ABs seem to be just losing their edge a little. This RWC is a year late for them, and probably a year early for us, but I sense the trajectories have crossed ever so slightly.
My kiwi mates are a little more edgy than I've seen them for a long time.
And I'm liking it.

I think we'll see more Wallaby victories in the next year or two as the core of the Darkness move on.

Had a look at how many minutes our guys have played, just out of interest.

In descending order:

481 - Fardy
413 - Douglas
400 - AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
398 - Foley
396 - Kuridrani
345 - Giteau
322 - Moore
322 - Genia
320 - Hooper
318 - Simmons
307 - Mitchell
305 - Kepu
300 - Pocock
289 - Folau
288 - Sio

284 - Beale
212 - Mumm
201 - McCalman
163 - TPN
149 - Phipps
133 - Slipper
126 - Holmes
124 - To'omua

Amounts might be missing a minute or two here and there. I was going to compare it to AB minutes played but have run out of steam. Maybe later.

I went out on a limb a while back and said that the extra minutes our players had played might be an advantage rather than a disadvantage at the pointy end of the tournament. Well, we're still here and with a relatively low injury count. All the teams who recently had their off-season are goooone.

All Black minutes added (oh no! poltergeist!)

Of course simple minutes played doesn't tell the story, but I was interested to know so thought others might be too.

Fucking paparazzi. All the talk of training paranoia clearly isn't paranoid enough

First of all, if media is allowed in trainings, I would expect decency from them and not horseshit like this

Second I hope the said photographer will never ever anymore be allowed to any trainings.

Third, there is nothing New Zealand didnt already know, so the fuckwits behind these "news" are even more pathetic, besides its not like they have a week to adjust against those things and I doubt they would have changed anything even they got this "information" on monday.

Fucking lousy journalism and I hope most dont do the mistake I did and give them a click.

This a classic - Cheika looks to me like his grinning.
Cheika has being playing the media for the whole tournament - he takes them in with hayseed openness and, possibly because it so long since anyone even apparently told them truth, they lap it up.
Ive stopped accepting anything he says: and I mean that in a good way.

A quick thanks to British Airways for providing us with some choice in-flight entertainment options.

Hmmm...try to rattle the oppostion, expose wingers to kicks, front foot speed, Carter runs left to right, Nonu steps back inside. The All Blacks could have read G & GR to gain these insights.

No doubt Hansen will be changing tactics as we speak.;)

Swung by Twickenham to pick up our tickets from the will-call office before the mad rush tomorrow. On either side of the big sculpture is the Wallaby "thingy" and on the other side out of picture an AB "thingy"
