Well played All Blacks, simply a better side on the day.

We really can't complain here - didn't play nearly as well as we could/should have whereas the All Blacks turned up and got the job done. Dagg, Jane, Kaino, McCaw, all outstanding.

There was a Genia box kick early in the first half, he stood behind the ruck for ages lining it up and the ABs were screaming "kick!! kick!!". It was obvious by the way he was standing- right on the far sideline and facing it to get the ball onto his right foot, but there were no blindside runners so everyone knew the kick was coming.

He took so long actually kick it, was it ever going to be a good play?

I have some theories about this.
1) We weren't getting quick ball all tournament
2) To create more space for himself as a result of the above, Cooper started playing a lot deeper
3) Because of both 1) and 2) Genia had to wait for cleaner ball to be able to get the ball deeper, and because Cooper is so picky about what ball he wants, Genia gets frustrated by 1) and kicks his shitty, pressured box-kicks.

Was that gush of wind the response to 4 million NZers breathing a sigh of relief or the effect of Cyril Towers, Wally Meagher, the Windon Brothers and countless other pioneers of running rugby spinning in their graves over how we kicked all that ball away to the Darkness.

Great we made the SF, but FFS do we have to make it so easy for them?

Notwithstanding how sh*thouse we were tonight in comparison, we were in the game until well into the second half. In the good old days, and sometime in the future this mob is capable of doing so, we would have scored 2 tries and Nobody would have kicked the necessary 3 pointer to win the game from being 15 points down with 14 to go.

I don't want to see another Australian player kick a box kick ever again. What are they good for?

Is it just me? We lack attacking flair and the forwards to deliver the ball. We have some of them but not the stars, not really. Beale was missed badly. We keep mistaking really good with brain-snappingly good. We're one dimensional. If you take out one back with a hammy and one forward on form we fall apart. Its fine to have meat and potatoes, but when the herbs and spices aren't there, its a crappy meal that a competent burger can trump.

NZ played you like Ireland did, they took you on up front and neutralised your backs, Simple rugby, northern Hemisphere rugby really.

Very disappointing. We looked promising in attack a few times but just turned it over with bad ball security. The lineout has improved over last week but the scrum is still a worry. Honestly how hard is it to f*cking clear it from your own feed and go from there. High ball, also diabolical, both giving and taking. I don't think the experiment of sending the 5/8 to full back in defence is working.

S'weird. It was like a 6N game

Box kicks are too often done to relieve pressure on scrum half rather than a go forward tactic.
