In addition, the Pom loss in Oz was due to the APPALLING front row selections of R Deans. The loss in Twickers was due to QCs turnstiles - there were few scrums. We were also surprised by the expansive English gameplan. I was at both games.

If we pick a strong lineout and scrum with Barnes at 10, we will not lose.

I would take SA at $8 at the mo. They will make semis and will get shorter. The ABs and Wobblies will not get materially shorter until finals day and perhaps not at all in the case of the latter.

You do the maths.

Epic troll is epic.

VRF - three questions requiring yes/no answers:

1. Is QC (Quade Cooper) SupeRugby's worst defender ex-Cipriani?

2. Is Barnes the best backline defender in SupeRugby?

3. Is the Reds FR, which performed so poorly against the English last year and set our national scrummaging reputation back to Marseille 2007, the least experienced, youngest, lightest and er, worst, in Oz SupeRugby?

Any fair minded rugby analyst will answer YES to all three. Any deviation from my views jeopardizes the RWC.

All Blacks not worth a punt at that. SA & England are well worth those odds. They both play good offence-choking finals rugby.

Aussies are not quite short enough at $4 for me to put money on. I think $5 is game on.

So bazza, what you are saying is that we should pick the majority of players from a super team that barely scrapes into the top 6 and they will win us the world cup?

I see the logic. Maybe I can't do the maths (probably shouldn't be an engineer then hey!)

RWC rugby is different to SuperRugby and requires a different playing emphasis. The Wallaby horses for the England course, for example, should not be Reds players, Horwill, Genia, Iaone aside.

Queenslanders need to be reminded that they have only beaten NSW once out of the last 8 encounters. This was at home and injury ravaged.

Kepu TPN Robinson Horwill Sharpe (Wagga Wagga) Elsom (trained in NSW), Pocock, Palu Genia, Barnes (trained in NSW) Carter Horne AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) Ioane Beale

Pretty simple - if we select the NSW pack plus Rocky and Poey, we will be sweet up front. There is a *Small* case for selecting Horwill. If we select Barnes and JOC (James O'Connor) at 10/12 defence will be OK. QC (Quade Cooper) is a turnstile and his selection for RWC finals rugby must be confined to the final 10mins if we are three tries ahead.

So ends chapter 1, titled "How NSW won RWC11 in a parallel universe". In the next chapter of "How to win friends and influence people", we will discuss how El Nino is the fault of the Brumbies coaching staff. Chapter 3 delves into how the Force caused the Japan Tsunami.

1. Vuna is worse than QC (Quade Cooper).

2. Barnes is made of glass and invariably ends up concussed when trying to tackle.

3. No. It is developing nicely.

Kepu, TPN, Robinson, Horwill (once gave a NSW goat a carrot), Sharpe (Wagga Wagga), Elsom (trained in NSW), Pocock (thought about taking a piss in NSW once), Palu, Genia (said NSW is his 5th favourite state), Barnes (trained in NSW), Carter, Horne, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Ioane (his tatooist is from NSW Beale

Fixed it for you. Looks like we will definitely win now I have determined every player is 'from' NSW.

The Boks are a good punt for mine. I very roughly calculated their chances at ~17%. England has some value too but they have a tough draw which will pit them in knockout matches against, most likely; France, Australia and New Zealand - can't see them winning all 3.

If i won money by betting on England i'd still feel pissed off.

Losing hurts. Losing to the Poms is a special kind of pain.

I remember walking around Paris in 2007 the week after the Poms knocked us out. The day of the Pom v Frog SF my mate and I wandered past a group of 20-30 Pom fans drinking at a cafe. A bit of banter from them to us, (some good natured, some not so), which we responded to with a smile and a wave. And kept walking.

I have rarely been so pissed off, sick and angry with the world than at that point. It made the Wobs failure real, if you see what I mean.

I am not a religious man, but Lord, if you are listening, please radiate your blessings on the Wobs, for whom we love, and in turn please smite those Pommy bastards mightily so they might forget how to scrum and catch. A plague on their house to prevent them getting out of the group stage would be appreciated, O Lord.

Amen.

You're having a Barry, mate. Post more reasonably or the mods'll boot you out quick smart.

How about this: NSW have the best pack, and QC (Quade Cooper) is a defensive liability, and is unlikely to fix it before the RWC.

Then look up "hyperbole" in the dictionary and have a bit of a think.

Note: Big props to GAGR - the worlds premier rugby union site and forum. Let me say there are some rank characters lobbing around rugby cyberspace, notably the planet-rugby forum. Good to escape trolling shitstirrers over there and join the Aussie strength that is Noddy and Lee Grant.

So we shouldn't expect any of your quality anti-Brumbies trolling threads?

As much as it pains me to say this. I agree with Bazza (a cold shiver just ran down my spine) to a degree. The Wallabies pack should have a very strong Tahs orientation. They have proven they as a unit are the strongest pack in Australia and do warrant selection. That said, I wouldn't mind seeing Horwill in the place of Mumm for his scrummaging ability. At the very least in should have the Tahs front row with Palu at the back.

If the scrum is settled - and at full strength (no Queenslanders) and QC (Quade Cooper) (Queenslander) learns how to tackle, we are in with a shot.

The irony is so sweetly delicious it could kill a diabetic....
