National team caps like Malifa and Boyer - plus imports Rene Ranger and Digby Ioane, et al - playing down in D1.

I'm convinced.

It will actually be interesting to see who stays or goes. Players are centrally contracted to MLR itself so depending on their contract they may be redistributed. Certainly the likes of Boyer, Ranger and Ioane (assuming they are on multi year deals) will for sure. They'll still be able to put out a fairly strong D1 side regardless.

Really enjoyed the chat from the grass roots.
Hope we get some more of this type of coverage of our great game away from the big smoke.

Scotty Stevenson has posted that there will be a Hawaiian team entering Major League Rugby from next season. Looking to see if this can be confirmed. Very interesting. Mentioned to be headed up by Mick Byrne. Who was the Director of Rugby at Austin until Covid hit. Might be linked to the same group behind both Austin and LA.

It's going to be a boozy affair when the Gilgronis play the Giltinis.

Are the Hawaiian team going to be the Gilcoladas?

Apparently he has Gil Tai plus a few others in the process of being trademarked. The only positive here is that he has so far been pouring tons of money into Austin so hopefully this will overcome the shocking naming convention.

Negronis are so hot right now. Sure to be a winner.
