Apparently the Australia/New Zealand travel bubble details have been finalised and will soon be announced.

Seems like the quarantines won't be in place by December so there will be nothing for the NZRU to complain about in regards to missing Christmas.

Unfortunately mate, I don't think the bubble is only one way.

I don't think they should be included at all. The whole reason for getting rid of Super Rugby was the expansion teams / travel and now we're going back to that? Either base them locally or not at all.

To be fair that team was going to be based in Auckland apparently.

Bok Green beat Bok gold 25-9 in the last game ever at Newlands.

Error-ridden shitfest. Only highlight was the scrums with teams exchanging dominance but ultimately the green team had more firepower in the forwards.

SA in enviable position considering Koch, Qoboka, and Malherbe among others were not available. Our front-row depth has, in my opinion, never looked this good.

Locks went okay.

Huge penalty count, probably close tob30 from both sides combined. A lot of them due to knock ons and then subsequent scrums.

Gianni Lombard looked decent. Damien Willemse missed 3/4 kicks at goal for gold. I've said before he can't kick. Serious help needed there.

His defense was very good though.

Frans Steyn and Duane bouncing off tacklers on an occasion or two to show they still have it.

^ Siya Kolisi quoted as saying post-match that bokke are a long way from where they need to be in order to be competitive in TRC even if SA gov allows them to leave the country.

Fozzie says a player barged into his room to inform him that he won't be quarantining over Christmas. Didn't say if player has or plans to refund NZR the $10K/ camp he would've been paid :-/

That's a worry about the Bokke, I know the unions need money, but as I have said before I cannot see how the comp can have much integrity, it's easier for us in Aus and NZ to splutter on about at least we have games, and if the teams are as underprepared as we all think, it will probably mean NZ go back to No1 in world and Aus will jump up the rankings, and just not sure that's how I want us to do it like that. In my opinion that is much more worrying than shit about whether players are in quarantine over xmas etc.
As for player barging in on Fozzie I would take that with the whole grain of salt I have taken almost everything I have read or heard on the whole TRC, we have players supposedly saying no worries, some so called leaked minutes (that noone seems to of seen which maybe not even really minutes), Marinos saying on tv well NZR didn't agree to comp actually but etc etc.

I was on 12 hour night shifts last christmas and new year's. But also an athiest and loved the penalty rates. Was going to use the cash to have a knees up with the daughter and grand kids in Vic but then the world went to crap.

I guess a lot of church ministers are quite busy over the xmas period too, so having time off with family at xmas time is probably more of a cultural expectation than a religious one.

That said, 2020 is not the year to be expecting anything normal. Player welfare needs to take precedence.

I do think RA should still go into bat for NZR and do everything they can to get them home for xmas if it's that important to them. But at the same time, I would have been annoyed at RA if they had of kicked up a stink about the Wallabies not being able to get back for xmas.

^ I suspect that NSW & NT opening their borders to NZ from 16/10 will encourage/ require the incoming gov (Election Day is 17/10 & it looks likely Jacinda will be able to go see the GovGen within days rather than weeks) to relax quarantine requirements for people returning from there. So I'd imagine the AB being able to self-isolate at home with their immediate families rather than Stalag Marriott or wherever.

Mate I did a lot of things to earn money too, but not sure I want them to be used as argument how others should earn their $s:D

Laumape has been added to the All Blacks squad in place of Ennor, with Umaga-Jensen as cover.

The All Blacks announced on Tuesday that Laumape has replaced Crusaders midfielder Braydon Ennor in their Rugby Championship squad, while Peter Umaga-Jensen has also been called in as cover.

Laumape hasn't played since breaking his arm in the Hurricanes’ win against the Crusaders in Christchurch in late July, and won't be in consideration for the Bledisloe Cup test against the Wallabies in Wellington on Sunday.

Having both him and S.Barrett back on rotation would be handy.

Fozzie is probably making it all up.

Ulrich says he met an All Black and they partied in De Aar.

Sounds very much like that.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's the coach himself that has the issue and not the players.
