Rugby Championship 2025 (non-Aus matches)

The official All Blacks tiktok channel posted a ridiculously wholesome clip of Kriel giving Savea a gift after their match and congratulating him on his 100th cap.

In the background, Savea's daughter could be heard shouting "Uncle Siya!!" as she ran and leapt into Kolisi's arms. Made my allergies play up something fierce.
I was watching it on the tv when happened, reminded me why our game has some great ethos. And after Kolosi hugged her, he asked her if she was proud of Daddy? And then went over with Ardie to his parents and chatted with them, a bloody great thing to see,

Second SA Test will have competition for eyeballs: Warriors have a home QF v Penrith that kicks off an hour prior. Will be interesting to see the ratings, esp Wahs second half.

In addition to Bell joining the squad as injury cover...

"Winger Caleb Clarke and loose forward Luke Jacobson have also rejoined the squad in Wellington after NPC cameos, while Noah Hotham is over his ankle injury and available for selection, easing the crisis at halfback."

Test 2: I've gone from Defcon 1 last weekend to Defcon 5 for this one. A free hit after the Eden Park pressure release.

Rassie's chucked the flighty backs in there and basically said have a bit of a run around.

Razor will probably rest the stupid Barretts and let the Love's and Tupaea's have a burl.

That Eden Park game was HUGE for this year and how Razor is viewed. My sole remaining keyboard warrior fanboi wants for 2025 season:

- don't lose the Bledisloe
- don't lose to f****** Scotland.

Anything else is gravy.

Rassie, wow. You can't really call him an idiot on the basis of his success, but he does venture into Eddie Jones areas from time to time.
It's a fine line in semantics.

-When you're winning you're bold and innovative and developing depth and leading the way.

-When you're losing you're biffing new pricks in there and hoping the stupid newbie fucks dont fucking lose

Only the future days of hindsight can judge where on the Pandoran Fulcrum of Exigent Simulacra Rassie's boks are right now.

When do the fans turn on Rassie? If he loses this game then wins two against Argentina. That's 3 wins from 6. Is that enough to keep them entertained? What about if he loses one against the Argies? Would be great if they went 2/6.
Even if it all goes horribly wrong for the rest of the Rugby Championship, I don't think they'll turn until the EOYT at least. There will be grumblings (there already are), but losses to the big Southern Hemisphere rivals on the pretense of rebuilding are somewhat acceptable, especially with two world cups on the trot in the trophy cabinet.

But if they lose badly to either France or Ireland (or heaven forbid any loss to Wales, Japan or Italy) off the back of a poor Rugby Championship then they'll really start to turn on him, or at least a few scapegoats in the national setup - Tony Brown and Jerry Flannery already seem to be at risk there, probably in part because they're recent arrivals and foreign coaches.
