I wonder when Lachie Swinton will get a run on spot this season. His form warrants it, and I for one would hate to be on the receiving end of one of his tackles. He was merciless on Saturday and hit extremely hard every time. It won’t be long I think until he gets more game time.

Form? He has played less than 40min over 3 games. Who do you drop? If you drop Simmons who runs the lineout and who plays tighthead lock? If you drop Holloway who is going to take up those extra hitups?

I'd just prefer to see him continually perform in his current role for the time being.

Dan Parks had a good point on the Tahs bench, why not use them? If you aren't select another pig and do a 6/2
5/3 bit them on the bum last week when they had to play a prop at flanker for last 13 minutes, a starting prop had to play 80 while 2 players rode the pine
Short & Mason weren't used
Bit them on the bum last week

I'm happy with whatever we try to do with our backrow. Cusack should start in Pocock's place. The other two spots can be any combination of Valetini, McCaffrey, and Samu.

I've asked before, what has happened to Roets? Is he fit and just not up to Super standard. He doesn't seem like much of a buy if, with Staniforth unavailable, McCauley is selected in front of him. Makes him our 5th choice lock at best!

He played in the B team a couple of weeks ago so it wouldn't appear that he is injured.

They wouldn't have paid much for Roets and it seems you're correct with his place in the pecking order. I'd like to see McCauley get a run. He's was signed out of school and has been on the books for 3 years now for 1 cap. Its probs now or never for him

I would guess he is now just waiting for an opportunity, the current units are doing well enough that he gets to wait

The Pocock injury happened at the controversial pre-season Wallabies training camp. All signs suggest that it's more serious than reported and he'll likely be managing it all season.

Roffy, I just don't see Cusack as a 7. He is more like a lighter No 6 in my eyes. Not sure that he's won any ruck turnover ball in his stints at 7, while Samu has had plenty at 6 or 7.

I would definitely go 6 Valetini, 7 Samu, 8 McCaffrey in the absence of Pocock.

I did highlight my concern at the beginning of the season ghat we were short of a proper backup No 7. A lingering injury to Poey is just about the worst situation that could affect the Brumbies this year.
