Lions still look way below where they were last year, especially defensively.

Cheetahs are currently making the Lions look like amateurs with the way they have drowned the Bulls in an orange flood during the first half.

Well done Lions.
The Tahs looked passive - were they half-asleep for most of the match?
RR did a stupid thing.
Latu was the best of the Tahs.

Very disappointing _ south Africa sides like oz sides well below kiwi sides so need oz sides to get wins against saffa sides. Waratahs 1/2 the side they were 2 seasons ago. Very poor.

Good to see Kepu's keeping up his disciplinary aspirations. Another yellow card.

Stop bitching about the maul - its a great part of the game when its reffed right. Let's talk about shipping 55 fucking points instead.

Lions have been the most entertaining Saffer team due to great management, and good for them. They're playing for each other, and well.

Yeah, Nathan Grey seems to get a free pass too often, but defense is mostly attitude and getting off your arse. So the players should have an interesting week

FP, Grey's defensive patterns have been a big problem for the Wallabies since he took over, and maybe now are being shown up at Super Rugby level too?

As a Tahs supporter I'm not particularly concerned with this result. The late withdrawals of Phipps and Skelton certainly didn't help when we're already down Foley, Holloway and Hanigan. Joburg is a massive home advantage, as are Pretoria and Blomfontein.

This backline isn't gelling in either attack or defence and Izzy is wasted. The forward pack need to spend some time with the referees so they understand the ruck and maul interpretations. 12. Simone 13. Horne 14. Kellaway 15. Folau.

As a Wallabies supporter I think it's telling that we are in round 2 and there are no undefeated Aus teams. That's not the fault of the players, there just isn't the depth in Aussie rugby for 5 competitive franchises.

KOB,
I really want to see Foley at 10 before suggesting the centres need changing (not saying you're wrong, just want to see how it works). If it could be made to gel, Simone and Folau could be pretty devastating in the mid-field.
If not I agree, Folau back to FB.

A couple of things to take out of this game.
We will win very few games conceding 5 tries in first half.
Seeing Izzie in open space at the end of the game highlighted that running in space is his forte.
He's not getting the ball in space at 13, move him please.

Amazing how often the SA broadcaster keeps replaying potential overseas team infringements or foul play but don't replay the home sides indecressions. They seem to do it a lot more than the Oz and NZ broadcasters.

Yes that's true, hopefully we will see that next week.
