Interesting to see what Hunter Ward can do at #7 in what is going to be a tough game - they really need some more mobility and pilfering @7 IMO.

Interesting that Kianu Kereru-Symes is starting at hooker. He's gone from being an injury cover player in the pool to starting for Canes. Canes down 3 hookers, Raymond Tuputupu was brought in early season and now Shilo Klein has also been brought in.
For those that don't know NZR runs a pool of players that don't get picked up by Super teams, they still play for thei local clubs, but are sent around the country to train with different super teams so they ready in case of need.

Not sure why the tahs didn't see the value, but they're paying for it now.

The Tahs are hoping to have one at the end of the year.

I guess it has largely come down to financial issues. Hard to commit hundreds of thousands of dollars to an end of season tour if you're worried you won't be able to fund the next season.

I agree it would have benefited the team though.
