I'm not saying he is playing above those players, but knowing Deans, he'll pick him based on experience.
Even thugby league doesn't step down to this level
You be trippin...
On form Hodgson has no chance...
Hooper to deputies Pocock...
Gill to u20s (join squad later)....
Hodgson to watch on TV...
By your logic we wouldn't have played George Smith in his motm debut performance against France...
But that's irrelevant because Pocock will start anyways...
So what did you call the old QRU boo a blue campaign they ran?? Look I don't like booing, but all this bullshit over last year is exactly that. Perhaps you haven't heard NSW crowds boo their own team?? Remember watching a test on tv years back when 2 Ella boys ran on to play for Wallabies here in Qld, the booing from Aus crowd was incredible, and not knowing any different living in NZ I just assumed Aussies didn't like them because they were Aborigine. The thing is why are these things acceptable but any other booing not? As I said I don't like booing ,but when Reds crowd were booing Stormers kicker a few weeks back I must admit I thought at least they are doing somethimg!!Even thugby league doesn't step down to this level
Apparently Hooper only has approx 40 minutes more gametime over 12 rounds...
Don't forget that Hooper hasn't started every game either...
And the Reds have played one extra game to the Brumbies...
But I'm not denying that Gill is just as good as Pocock and Hooper when it comes to pilfers...
It's the other aspects of the game where Hooper clearly eclipses Gill...
I think it's apparent that he is better the Hooper and potentially will be better then Pocock in pilfers
Tranquility,he really was a treat to watch, lol and perhaps one thing advantage of being my age, I saw him (and Meads, Lohore etc when a young un). Geez I thought I was much younger than I am!!!!
But it's really not when they're were on the same number after the same number of matches...
Tranquility only slightlyI was old enough to physically watch it, but I mean old enough to comprehend how good he was. If that makes you feel better?
Naa tigerland, I think it more a few Qlders just sick of us kiwis being here, doesn't worry me mate, just the so called outrage here is rubbish, I have been to Reds game at Sydney and heard Reds supporters boo the Tahs, it's just something some people do. I have never booed at a game, but have copped abuse at Suncorp for cheering the Canes, told to piss off etc, so perhaps this unwritten rule that is about says you must always support home team?? And mate I actually am usually supporting Reds.I think basically it is somewhat a un-written code that oppositio supporters do not boo at away games. I think as QLDers we are getting sick of the Briwi's booing the Reds. It just seems disrespectful. Imagine if there was heaps of Brisbanites living in Wellington and decided to boo the shit out of the Hurricanes kickers? You'd be pissed off right?
Are you being serious? Hooper is very physical with and without the ball, but Gill is a far better thief.. I am sick of debate, that is my last word about it. Can't wait for the match up though.
Same amount of pilfers after an equal amount of matches?
Are you being serious?
Since when has it become ok start manipulating stats to support an argument... CURRENT stats indicate he has more pilfers...
Regardless I'm not basing an opinion purely on 2012 but what he did in 2011 as well.

Unfortunately every team has their quota of idiots who spoil the viewing experience for the majority. Can't stand the booing but unfortunately it seems to be normal behaviour these days.My younger brother is a Brumbies supporter and the abuse he copped at Suncorp last year was disgraceful. Some dickhead decided to throw rubbish at him because he had the hide to cheer for his team. Pretty ordinary stuff and the fella was quite lucky my other brother and I did not want to make a scene with women and children around because we both wanted to deck that arsehole.
