I may have missed it but it appears that our Melbourne cousins have not referred to banjo's, inbreeding and literacy when describing us? Pick up your act boys. This has been too civil an affair.

When you are talking banjo-plucking and cousin-errr... fancying, Queenslanders aren't the first ones to come to mind down here. We'll try to rectify that issue ASAP.

Disappointed that Morahan has not been punished for an awful performance, and Lucas, who played so well last year, be given 15 to start.

But, gee, the Reds sentimentalist in me would love to see Van back on Suncorp soil, even for 10 mins or so. The rolling of.

It will be exciting to see how Gill handles his start.

If you take out Morahan for Lucas then we lose so many attack options. Lucas,Lance and Harris are not genuine line breakers.

Yeah but Lucas/Lance were only defending in the first channel because of Cooper. If they were playing fullback with Harris at 10 that'd mean they'd actually be defending at 15, unlike last year. Neither offer chance of a counter attack, unlike Morahan.

You just need the right balance because we can't always rely on Ioane to make meters through the backs.

Phipps dropped, good call, Kingi has much more potential. That is near their strongest side, only the loose forwards look a bit thin

Kingi at 9 is a good option.

If the Rebels turn up and their defence is on the Reds will have to improve considerably on the last 2 outings. Plenty of points in that Rebels backline.

Only if their forwards give them front foot pill.

I think Gill is going to be a serial pest for the Rebels this week and will legally slow down the ball, if he doesnt slow it down it will be because he has actually pilferred it.

I cant see their tight 5 winning the upfront breakdown battle and they will use all their resources just trying to maintain possession.

"Tale of the Tape" to come tomorrow after I look at last weeks games tonight................

I wonder who the Wallabies reserve halfback is right now (from a hypothetical point obviously)?

Sheehan on form. But Kingi will have a lot going for him if he does well this week. Very different to Genia. Felt his acceleration and step were wasted out wide, in tight up against tired forwards he will be very dangerous and could come on late and have a similar affect as Burgess often did.

Great call on Kingi. That backline has me very worried as a Reds fan.

Agree, but it all will (a) make for an exciting game and Bris punters will pay to see O'C and KB (Kurtley Beale) and (b) the last thing the Reds need pre the SA games is a daisy chain of turnstiles, an easy game and a walkover scoreline. The tougher it will be for the Reds, the better it will be for everyone, including we fans.
