At the risk of this becoming a Reds love-in, friendly reminder that this is still a local derby so a minimum amount of inter-team banter is required.

Count me out Stu. I'm a little conflicted with this game, so all I will say is that I will be barracking for a Reds win but would also like to see a good showing from the Melbourne boys.

Well, anything less than 5 points from Melbourne will be a monumental failure.

Now, is he a whacked-out ultra-positive fan expecting a bonus point win, or a whacked-out cautiously negative downer just hoping for a 66% improvement on our last score at Suncorp?

Bit of choose-your-own-adventure there for you, folks.

You've got an interesting supporting technique.

Predict that your side gets absolutely flogged and then claim a Pyrrhic victory when they get beaten by a lesser margin.
Do you not think that maybe, just maybe, I'm not completely serious when I make posts like that?

Well, I've never been much one for navel gazing about what 'should' happen.

I'll wait until after the game before I give my 2 cents.

That being said, anyone planning to watch the game in Melbourne somewhere? I know the Army boys like the Turf bar, but I find it often too crowded for my tastes and its beer selection underwhelming.

Well enough about how good the Reds are, because change is coming to Queensland, folks!

And it's gonna ****. You. Up.

Actually keen to see JOC (James O'Connor), Beale, Inman and Vuna start tearing up backlines.....but that can wait untill next week!

This season Daley has played 124 minutes for 11 tackles and 0 missed. Holmes has played 57 minutes for 16 tackles and 1 missed. (Source Fox)

Don't care what Link said last year, Daley has not performed well so far.

I may have missed it but it appears that our Melbourne cousins have not referred to banjo's, inbreeding and literacy when describing us? Pick up your act boys. This has been too civil an affair.

Only one grammatical mistake! Surely this places you at the top of your family, which is fortunate given the indeterminacy of most Queensland family trees.

Ma, get me banjo an' me gutbucket! Pa, get th' 'shine outta th' General Lee! We're-a havin' a hoedown!

His grammar is fine. I thought he was refering to a place known as Banjo's. It is all in the reading.

Kingi has to be the Rebels 9 moving forward, the form he showed at the U20s a few years back was electric. The bloke is not a back three player.

Cipriani is worth persisting with.

Anyone would be better than Chamberlain, so Saffy sure as hell should claim that 7 jersey. Jones should get another run at 6.

If the Rebels forwards don't disrupt the Reds pill, this could be just the game that the Reds find their form.

Is Lipman still in Melbourne or just injured......him, Saffy and Delve were the best back row in the country to watch last year....against some stiff competition iPerth and Brisbane.

Based on the relative performances of their scrums against the Tahs, the Rebels have to look to gain an advantage in that area.

The Rebels will have to play a good tactical kicking game. With Harris' kicking form, the Rebels can't afford to play much of the game in their own half otherwise Harris will take the game away from them three points at a time.

I wonder what the odds are on Harris missing his first kick this match?
