That's exactly what Dan would say!LOL. I am honoured with the suggestion but despite the fact Dan often follows my selections advice posted here, I can assure you that I am not Dan McKellar.

Hello Reds management - I would really like the price of beer to come down at Suncorp. Please help where possible.
Cheers
Yep, says it all the time:

Don’t agree. Lowering the beer price is always going to get unilateral supportThis is a sad reflection on my rugby insights - my most liked post on these forums by a fair margin is about lowering the cost of beer at the stadium!!
If that's the case it'll likely be Faulkner V Fotuaika. Money on FaulknerTupou has been cited so he’d have to be a big chance of missing this week v the Tahs. Who actually have Bell under doubt after he came off with back spasms on the weekend
That’s a big concern. Given they viewed it and cleared it in the game I’d assume they’ve only cited him if they are pretty clear. In which case you’d imagine he’s likely to get a few weeks.Tupou has been cited so he’d have to be a big chance of missing this week v the Tahs. Another waste of dough. Believe he will be out on the Peninsula with Uncle Wayne next year. 1.8m RA dollars should find him a nice shack out there.Sooooo what are people's thoughts on the Vunivalu situation? Currently a truckload of money spent for zero return.
IMHO he will have to come out of the blocks firing, and last the rest of the season without injury, to justify another contract anywhere near his current one.
Will his value have come down to the NRL given his lack of footy since 2020 and his increased injury toll? Will that allow us to keep him at a lower price? Word is that Souths(?) Really wanted him but couldn't get the cash together to buy him out of his current contract?
I'm wondering what all this could mean for his contract negotiations. Seem to have been whispers since he came across that he was looking at going back to Loigue. Not necessarily a new trend with them but seems to have been more than usual.
I saw him in 1 game at suncorp last year and he was the most athletic player on the field. No doubt. We just need him fixed and committed to spend that kind of dosh on him again... I think.

When will rugby work out we have a nursery of great players coming through and don't need RL mercenaries?
Yeah - I agree Tupou needs to resist the temptation. I thought his point of contact was fine, but it was close and there is such a small margin in it. Could easily have been a red (and potentially is still going to get suspended anyway). Just don’t think it is worth the risk going forward.
Unproven at high level rugby union for $900K a year is a bitter pill to swallow. Could have given 300 to the reds under 20 program and still got a good winger for the other 600 I am sure.At the time of signing, I don't think it was money wasted. Vuni had runs on the board at least playing some rugby over in NZ before making the switch to NRL, you could argue we stole him back.
I think his physical attributes set him apart from what is currently on offer from the out and out wingers who are in Wallaby contention. Having a full flight Marika on one wing, and an aerial threat Vunivalu on the other would create some matchup nightmares for teams.
No doubt the investment is currently wasted, but I don't think it was such a bad decision when he was signed.
