Reds 2019

I've seen Lucas play 10, 12, 13 and 15 at club and above.

Don't know why he is only a 10.

Jack Hardy seems to have played a few positions too

I think it’s fairly obvious it is their natural positions respectively, I can’t be bothered with semantics about professional rugby players abilities to play other positions.

If the reds forwards let go of it. There is a genuine chance for uncontested scrums in this match.
Nah I don’t think so, the Reds will be dominate, but the Tahs would have spent the whole bye week working out how to fix it. Crusaders beat the Reds at scrum time last week so that rebutts the notion of the Reds being the best scrum in the comp.

wow.

nice contribution

Ok I will play your game then mate.

Dave Pocock can play 12, and probably hooker at a pinch, but his best position is probably 7.

I am sure that Lucas can play 12 or even 15 but his physical attributes do not really stack up to those positions at senior level.

Same to Hardy, he is a specialist fullback who can play 13.

I am sure that they can play other positions as well, such as wing, or maybe even flanker in club rugby I don't know.

But I think it is obvious what their best positions are to all and sundry, yourself included, and I think you are being antagonistic because you are probably bored.

If you watch the video with Peter Ryan today, and his comments about Lucas it is clear to me that he is now seen as the new wonderkid.

Penalty try might be a great option at the TAB

Unfortunately betting agents don't accept that bet. If they did would have had my house on the Reds getting one against the Chiefs last year when they had six injured props and were starting some bloke (Tu'inukuafe) who got back into rugby after being a 170kg security officer. I am lucky they didnt because i would have been on the street.

why is it obvious that that is their position.

Has Pocock ever played centre or hooker at the open level? I'd never consider him that. THis all seems a bizare argument.

Because you wanted to point out that it was possible they could play other positions.

Wait, call me a dumbass if I've misunderstood but Pocock never started a super rugby match at 12. Whereas Lucas is starting at 15, apparently a position everybody and their dog knows isn't suited to him.

I haven't seen much of the kid and I would love to know what skills he possesses that say he is a bona fide 10 and not 15. Reg wasn't starting a fight, you're the one being antagonistic Bobby. Relax a little, we're having a conversation.

Not sure why Lucas isn’t at 10 if we are going to play him.

because he played really well 15 when he was used there during the trial matches, its also a bit easier to start him as a 15 then 10 in terms of game management, which allows the Reds greater maturity in the halves. No doubt he will come into the line during the game and get his hands on the ball at first receiver though.

Like I said a few weeks ago, Lucas had trained extremely well during the pre-season which was noticed by the coaching staff, he then played well during the trials, this isn't about a new 'wonder kid' or whatever else people want to call it, its reward for someone who didn't cut corners during the pre-season and put in the time during extras to improve himself.

Hardy is another who performed well during the pre-season and this is reward for hard work.

Hooper at 12 on the other hand, now that's something I'd pay to see..... ;)

He is of the 20yr old mould whereby they haven't yet worked out his best position due to him still physically developing and maturing. Long term I don't think he will play 12 as he wont have the size although he has played it previously, similar to his brother Ben his best position will be either 15 or 10 since it reflects his ball playing and running ability.
