The ARU clearly studied the results of the two very comprehensive 'world wide searches' recently conducted by the QRU and became convinced this modality - aimed at finding the world's greatest rugby coaches, and fast - had true merit.

The NZ Super teams will be quaking in their boots tonight at the thought of their next anxiety-filled trips to Perth.

Mate! In 2014 the senior Reds players went to J Carmichael and to a man told him RG was a total dud as HC and should go forthwith.

The then (and later) leaks to the rugby media re players not wanting RG was just the tip of a toxified iceberg.

QC (Quade Cooper) didn't take up the second year option on the contract with Toulon so there wassn't any payment required (or so reports have been saying)

I'm not a fan and don't see how this benefits QLD Rugby, he should be in the NRC and then pre-season, the only thing I can imagine is its some sort of contractual overlap between the Reds and Bath.

I suspect the QRU are getting some handy compensation out of it beyond just bath taking over salary payments for the time being.
