Bit of a fickle statement don't you think? While I agree Jake hasn't been or isn't up to the standard we want, what he said was a pretty cliched answer.

I'd prefer to read this than the opposite.

I agree. At least it appears that he has been given instructions on how they want him to play and is trying to implement that. The criticism of him this season was that he didn't run straight, just sideways, so it appears that with Stiles in control of the backs at the moment he has been told to run forwards and is doing that. I would say that is a positive, whatever you think about his play previously.

Training with Quade will give him a lot of good experience and hopefully he can learn and improve from that to be a very good backup or even a 2nd playmaker at some stage.

I don't really blame McIntyre for his performances this year.

Did he try his best ? I'm sure he did.
His best just wasn't up to scratch for a Super team. That's not his fault.

The coaching staff and the so-called talent identification guy had a bit to do with it.

I just wonder if he has the goods to ever be a good (not great) Super No. 10.

Chek used Liam as canon fodder in some Wallaby camps - nothing more nothing less.

He has never been one of Cheks favourites so IMO there is no way we'll see Liam in Wallaby colours for a long time, if actually ever again.

One can only hope he returns to Ballymore one day, and a squillionaire to boot.

Having watched DP starting to carve up NRC this season (league habits aside), I believe the Reds need to go with a 2-headed backline with dual threat playmakers QC (Quade Cooper) at 10 and DP at 12 and Hunt at 15.

QC (Quade Cooper) needs a roaming licence to float between first reciever or out wide in the line at fullback, where he can attack on the edges in 2-on-1 and 3-on-2 situations. DP can slot into 1st reciever when he does this and can deliver ball out well.

QC (Quade Cooper) needs to defend at fullback, with Hunt in the frontline so that the counter opportunities and broken play is maximised.

If you look at alot of the 2011 QC (Quade Cooper) highlights, this is where he is most dangerous, down short sides with short numbers and on the counter. QC (Quade Cooper) n DP could work in a similar fashion that McKenzie & Cruden do for the Chiefs.

This is something a bit different but has potential to best utilise QC (Quade Cooper) and give DP a role that best suits his skills.
