You say don't pick Kerevi out of position and them you pick him at 12. He has always been a 13 until recently.

It was a joke.

He can obviously play both very well, I just like him at 12.

I haven't seen enough of Maranta to know if it is justified - but I think it is completely shit form by Martin. Sure, public scrutiny is part and parcel of being a pro athlete, but bagging him so savagely is uncalled for. I notice that social media has largely joined the sledge fest. It genuinely saddens me.

And yes, for the record, I also think the personal nature of some of the attacks which have been made in the past on Martin have been poor form.
It's a harsh assessment, but I don't think it's unfair.
He is Broncos royalty, his grandfather was one if the founders of the club, and his father played there for years.
If he can't crack it for a run this year,it's hardly a ringing endorsement of his current performance.

I'm very happy that Quade is back, and I think he and Frisby will combine well together. I'd like to see Gunn get a start at 7 - didn't George Smith play 8 quite a bit for the Brumbies at one point? I'm not convinced that Houston has the game to create anything much off the back of a scrum, I like mobile number 8's and Houston looks strong but also looked rather overweight last week I thought. I hope that's not an indication of the conditioning program at the Reds.

Also, don't know anything about this Broncos guy, couldn't care less who his family are, but I wasn't very impressed with Nabuli this season - size but not much line breaking capability and unable to stay inside the touchline when he was given a clean break. Hopefully with a new backs coach and Quade they will get him firing - hopefully.

I'm looking forward to seeing Houston and Smith in action. We do need to see how they are going though.

Also think we need to keep an eye on Simmons and make sure we are developing a decent second caller.

I'm liking DP at 12, but if we start seeing a Quade-Karevi combination building in the Wobblies, we should think about keeping it going

Good looking team.
Not even the Reds could turn George Smith into a bad player.

All I'm saying is we need to see it.
I think he'll be Hoopers back up in the wallabies next year.. even an old George Smith won awards in Europe.. Gunn isnt in the same class.. Now if it was Gill yes bench him.

All good. I still want to see it. Ditto Houston and Moore. When they do show it, I'll be happy as Larry. In the mean time continue building Gunn and Korczyk.

George Smith has retired from international rugby, announced it a while ago.

Houston will be the starting 8 for the Reds, I was impressed with his NRC game last weekend, he tied up multiple defenders every run, fought for meters and broke tackles. With Timu and Houston the Reds have really improved their line bending caliber in 2017.

Smith and Tui will be coming off a season in Japan, so it's possible the Reds will need to prepare to start the season without both of them.. Gunn will get the opportunity to step up.

Don't forget about Korczyk. He could have a shot to secure a staring spot as well when Tui is in Japan

He's a winger right?
In a country that has AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and DHP as their wingers. And Horne, when AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is not here on the giteau law.
Shit he could be playing for the wallabies within a year.

Obviously you're exaggerating, but:

Speight will be fit for next game
Sefa will be eligible before the Argie game
Horne will be fit next season
Koroibete and Rona are coming back to Union
And Kellaway will have another full year at Super Level under his belt.

That's before you even rule out the two sevens boys (Fou and Clark) making a major impact, Morahan and English continuing their resurgences, and Nabuli making an impact.

It's not great "now". But by the June internationals next year it'll be a lot better, and there'll be a bit of improvement by the EOYTs as well.

Yep, I like it HL. Hopefully that's the end of AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Mitchell at al coming back from Europe or Japan.

I agree with this, but hey, let's not lose dignity in understanding what these guys were prepared to give on our behalf.

I especially feel for Gitts who may have ended his career. Thanks but no thanks is fine, but let's emphasis the former.

Great men in Aus rugby.

Yeah I was being deliberately facetious.
But with form slumps in some of the names you mention the wing positions are wide open just waiting for someone to claim them.
It could just as easily be a smokey who has a stellar year.
