The Flash might be a crap superhero but he has by far the best song.
Actually Queen are singing about Flash Gordon, who's a different flash to "The Flash". Still a good song though.
Well that's disappointing. The Flash is even lamer than I originally thought!

The one thing you can say about RG coached teams is that they are fairly consistent. From July 14, 2014:

He was correct. This year is not like last year - it's worse.
2014
5 wins, 11 losses: -119 points difference.
2015 (with one round to go against the waratahs)
4 wins, 11 losses: -161 points difference.

Yep.
If you aspire to achieve mediocrity, then Richard Graham is only a win or two a year away from achieving that goal.
I don't think RH is critical of the notion of having a "local" as coach, but the fact they seemed to have chosen Graham largely because he was a Qlder, and had close ties to those in power, rather than objective measures that he was the best candidate for the job. Or indeed that a proper search happened ( I don't know if it did or not, just speculating).RH it's certainly interesting to read you criticise the notion of recruiting a QLD native coach on the hope that a local boy could lead the franchise on successfully, on the same forum that so many lament the overlooking of local young players for imports. We cannot have it both ways.
People want to see the local talent succeed.
Graham did have decent success as an assistant coach in Europe and for the wallabies. Yes his force record was poor. Much like his predecessor and successor though.
It's certainly fair to criticise the results it has yielded and the failure of the board to take action I agree.
But in sport which at times can be an emotional endeavour, sometimes the best candidate in the world cannot incite the same emotion that a local can.
Obviously Graham as failed, but let's aim the criticism the right way, Graham's ability as a Head Coach and his results, not the idea that it would be great to achieve success with a local.

If only they'd won last night. It would've been history repeating with 2 seasons of finally managing to string back to back wins together in Rds 16 & 17. But not even that skerrick of joy for Reds fans in 2015.The one thing you can say about RG coached teams is that they are fairly consistent.

I think 1 marquee player in a wider squad of over 30 is a bit different to a head coach in this respect, but I get what you're saying. A local coach will always be more invested in the club than an outsider, but in this day and age, that shouldn't be enough to offset a CV that might not stack up.But that's the same reason many advocate local talents over imports, such as Adam Thomson in the playing ranks.
