Dan Palmer retired 6months ago. His foot injury never improved. Now off at uni becoming a bookworm.
Really? Interesting.
He's young enough to make a comeback eventually, fingers crossed.

For the Brumbies? Not with Alalaatoa there I reckon.

The coaching thing could be very good for him. Could he also be coining this with his studies at UC? Out of interest, does anyone know what he is studying?
Paraka looked damn good, and Slipper can play 3. With Slipper already a TH of note and with Sio already playing 1, there'd be worse things to do Wallaby-wise.
Sure, I get the whole 'TH is more draining on the legs' discussion but Sio is dynamic too. Point being, change Slipper to TH is Paraka proves he is good enough, and he might be season's end.
Pretty obvious what Dan Palmer is studying .........I am also guessing there is a link with UC and his study / Brumbies consultant work. I have the same question about what he is studying - will let you know if I find out.
I dont think so, the game the other night indicated to me how much better those players who train at an elite level are than those making their first step up.Do you think with the NRC and some of the talent that is being shown, that they might just decided JOC (James O'Connor) isn't worth it and pick up some young up and comers.
I'm not saying you're wrong but doesn't Holmes exclusively play loosehead? I remember him starting most games.
Other way round, Holmes is a tight head, I think the only time this year that Slipper played tight head was when Holmes was injured.
So I'm watching a bit of ITM cup today and Michael Stolberg comes off the bench for his debut for Northland.replacing Tom Murday.
Two Brisbane lads in the one ITM team. 2nd rowers. We should keep an eye on them
Does anyone know how Quade & Will are tracking with their injuries? I thought they would have been back by now?
Saw Quade at Ballymore on Wed and he looked fit ready to go but haven't heard any news..
Both Cooper (shoulder) and Genia (ankle) are targeting mid-September returns from their respective long-term injuries, giving them roughly seven NRC matches to catch the eye of Wallabies coach Ewen McKenzie ahead of November's European Spring Tour.
