"JAMES O’Connor will know within a month whether an Australian Super Rugby franchise is willing to offer him a contract for next season as speculation mounts he will join Karmichael Hunt at the Reds. "

No indication of a done deal there from what I read. Quite the opposite in fact.

Sorry I fucked up.. I will edit it I meant not done deal

Do you think with the NRC and some of the talent that is being shown, that they might just decided JOC (James O'Connor) isn't worth it and pick up some young up and comers.

Stop rabbiting on about what a good backline that the Reds may have for 2015.

In 2014 Reds started out with a good backline roster, but some identified that the squad was lacking in hard arse piggies - you know the blokes who win games, get front foot ball, and make it easy for the hairdressers to score points. On top of that shortage, Team Rehab Selectors were nasty to the Reds.

Like this year, Reds 2015 need some Grunters in the single digits. The Golden Slipper and Big Kev need some help.

Until they get more BUF (Big Ugly FucFootballers) in the piggies, even if Bob Dwyer was coaching, the Reds will have an unsatisfactory season next year.

People are going to talk about the back-line because the only rumoured signings which have leaked for the Reds in 2015 have been about the back line...

When someone can post a rumour of a back-row signing then I'm sure it will be a hot topic, until that stage the addition of Samu Kerevi, JOC (James O'Connor) and Karmichael is a pretty exciting alternative to discuss.

Don't disagree that the rumoured signings in the backline give us forum fodder but until Reds 2015 get some more BUF then the team will continue to struggle next season.

We'll have to see how his scrummaging comes along, but after last night Paraka looks like he'll go alright making an impact of the bench, pity our starting loose head is one of the few forwards already making an impact.

Paraka looked damn good, and Slipper can play 3. With Slipper already a TH of note and with Sio already playing 1, there'd be worse things to do Wallaby-wise.

Sure, I get the whole 'TH is more draining on the legs' discussion but Sio is dynamic too. Point being, change Slipper to TH is Paraka proves he is good enough, and he might be season's end.

The form Slipper's been in, I don't know if I'd want to go tinkering too much, but it is a nice option to have.

Dan Palmer retired 6months ago. His foot injury never improved. Now off at uni becoming a bookworm.

And current scrum consultant for the UC Vikings and the Brumbies during pre-season. I hope he gets more opportunity and some good mentoring with his coaching as I think he may be the next Lord given the chance and that great for our game and a damn good pick up for any franchise. Personally I would like to see him with the ARU U'20's set up.

The coaching thing could be very good for him. Could he also be coining this with his studies at UC? Out of interest, does anyone know what he is studying?
