In last night's presser, Richard Graham believes that the referee had a big impact. He stated that we did not get the rub of the green and that the Force were allowed to infringe at the rucks and that was a big reason we lost.
I can't believe that he honestly thinks this way.
No referee this year has forced the players to pass into touch, pass forward, knock on, miss tackles, align poorly defensively, kick out on the full when you can't, not kick out on the full when you can, go off the feet at the ruck, be offside, loiter at the back of the rucks, passively defend our own rucks, not attack their rucks, not follow the play, walk around with hand son hips whilst the game is going on, not support players who have made a break, not cover defend, not field high balls, not chase our own kicks, not run back to cover on their kicks, get held up over the try line, drop the ball over the try line, lose the ball in contact, pass directly to the opposition in clear space, stand around whilst the opposition take a quick tap and score a try.
These are all things that have materialized repeatedly throughout the year - not just one off incidents. I watch a lot of super rugby and no other team has ALL of these faults so constantly on display.
How we are not at the bottom of the table is beyond me, because our skill set is unbelievably poor. The Cheetahs and the Lions regularly put multiple phases together in some form of coherent play - which is more than can be said for us.
Didn't you know his a changed man .. I'm sure RG has the strength of character to control The brandBut signing JOC (James O'Connor) is going to fix all that, right?

Our consistency is what guts me. Must be killing the boys that they play like they do against the Clan and the Rebs then put that on last night. We are likely to finish 13th and a long way making the finals. Massive let down of a season that promised much after pumping the Brumbies in round 1 but has delivered bugger all.
I thought we generally did get the rub of the green last night if anything.
