Shit if Karmichael isn't playing in the ones, lets get him down. Let him choose whatever position he likes.

My theory is Reg's secret weapon is James O'Connor.

"There's only one piece missing that isn't there and that's confirmation from the Queensland Reds," Graham said at Ballymore on Monday.
That's not a denial, that's just deciding to delay announcing the signing.
Since losing Ant, options at 12 are limited for the Reds. Mike Harris may well move in to 12, with JJ to fullback.

But, I'd prefer to believe that James O'Connor has been signed for 2014 as well - there's a squad spot available for an Australian player. It's unlikely that O'Connor will play in the inside backs, as Graham has said before that he sees him as a wing option. However, most wingers can play fullback - that's where JOC (James O'Connor) will come in if at all.

The reason it's a secret weapon for the Waratah's game is because he needs time to learn the Reds structures, and a game a week later doesn't give him that.

And then the most compelling reason - the Red's are 4,500 members short of their 2014 target. Tickets to the Waratahs are going to be shelled out with "Bring Back Bob" style memberships, and a few days before the game they'll announce the signing. If the 1 game memberships are cheap enough they should smash 4,500 sales, as every man and his dog in Brisbane will pay to watch a NSW v QLD game with both former Bronco Israel Folau, and the Three Amigo's sans Cooper reunited.

Looking at his twitter/instagram, he's been hitting the Ibiza nightclubs with Marland Yarde.

I'm sure there were a few lime milkshakes enjoyed.

French Rugby has all wrapped up @Tranquility .. Latest news is he's swanning around Bora Bora. He's moving further and further south...

Taps is not a 13 at all. It's just unfortunate that we don't have a genuine 13 other than Sautia which means that we keep playing him there. I think we might lose Taps to another province unless he starts at 12.

In my opinion, he is the best 12 we have by a mile. I would then start either Ant or Sautia at 13 with Harris the obvious utility. Toua at the back. Turner on one wing, and then whomever out of Rodney, Shippers, or Sautia if he is not picked at center.

Sorry to quote myself, but this is from preason. Preseason god dammit !

Taps had to cut his teeth at 13, but he was woeful and it made him look as if he was lost at that level. Swapped with Ant, and then looked like a world beater.

I'm not saying he can't play at 13, he just isn't very good there. He is not that 'fast', except for his explosive first few steps. He doesn't run particularly threatening lines and it limits is ability to ball play.

Taps is a playmaker that is built like a German tank, who can square up the opposition backline and thus create space wider for the men who can actually exploit it. He has a good left peg, good footwork in traffic and is a very competent defender.

It doesn't make sense to play him at 13, and I'm sure everyone at the Reds understands this. It is just that we don't have a genuine 13. Other than Chris.

Now, many will say he is not ready. But maybe he is, and that is why he is being trialled.

This is from Febuary before a ball had even been kicked.. I realise people are so sick of this topic, but seriously!

indeed, we could finish higher than the Force still! Without getting ahead of ourselves, I hear there is a secret weapon up the Reds' sleeve for the Tahs match!
is Rusty and the St George Dragon turning out for us? Given the mess the Dragons in GOT are making, might really tip the scales in our favor, play him at 12 and really see our defense fire up. I have long suspected Rusty could be a brilliant ball running loose forward, his constant vacant eyed smile belies a cold ruthlessness ready to run over forward packs.

Do you?

He doesn't appear to have worked wonders for yourself. Did you have an abstract photography phase??

You finally have your wish with Taps playing at 12 against the Force in the team sheet.
If he plays badly there, there might be a little bit of crow to eat by Tranquility.:p
