Funny to see that Channel 9 were showing sports people helping with the flood - and only focused on the Broncos (who did less volunteering than the Reds) and cricketers. Not a mention of rugby, AFL or soccer. Nice to see they maintained a balanced view and looked outside the sports they broadcast.

I saw some quotes from them, from what I picked up they were filling sand bags as well, not sure if that is true, just the impression I got.

And they're the FTA broadcasters of the rugby now. Well, I didn't expect them to try to promote rugby anyway.

hey lads, its been a while. I've done a post on the QLD Floods thread, but I just had to ask that Link called me personally on Wednesday (I think it was Wed) to check how I was in the flood. He's a quality individual and you can see his impact trickling down. In saying that, I think the likes of the Faingaas, and Kevie and others are just a part of that special bread of individual with which helping and caring for people comes naturally.

not a fishing excercise. How do you think this will effect the team performance early inthe S15? Will the loss of training time at this point of pre season have a larger negative effect than the "lets do it for Queensland" effect post disaster?

If they were shoveling any of that mud in peoples houses/gardens etc they'll be fine. Its an absolute c*ntfest to do, I've spent the better part of 7 hours in the past two days just moving it and its a bloody workout!

Are you sure, if St George are indeed the naming rights sponsor then a press release would have surely been released by now

At the moment St George are the top sponsor signed by the QRU so that's probably why there name is on the jersey at the moment, but the 'principal sponsorship' spot is still vacant, if they are intending on becoming the principal then im sure we will see some form of announcement during the week

I can't tell from the quality of the pic but have the Brumbies removed that yellow patch from the shoulder?
