Yeah I might be in crappy Japan during the finals, pretty shattered about that.

Anyway, Reds on top of the table for the second week in a row. Onya Stormers!

If ever crowd figures were to be used as a KPI ..

Reds crowd figures
Year: Games/Total/Average

2006: 7 / 149,506/ 21,358
2007: 6 / 108,608/ 18,101
2008: 6 / 118,964/ 19,827
2009: 5 / 92,861 / 18,572
2010: 7 / 159,787/ 22,827
2011: 6 / 163,716/ 27,286

Good figures TOCC,

Let's predict Reds final average for this year:

Force: 26060
Rebels: 22031
Cheetahs: 19579
Bulls: 30000
Waratahs: 36000
Blues: 30000
Crusaders: 50000 (I honestly reckon that's how many they will get)
Brumbies: WHO KNOWS? If us getting a home semi is dependent, big crowd? I would say 26000 - 30000, take upper, for theoretical purposes we will say 30k

SF 1: 52500
Final: 52576

AVERAGE: 34874

Wouldn't that be lovely

After reading through the 2010 QRU annual report, there are a few interesting snippets in there.

Ballymore
The QRU has settled on two options for Ballymore, they are either going to walk away and the QLD Govt will reimburse the QRU for the money that the the QRU has invested in facilities there over the years, or the preferred option, is they are lobbying the QLD Govt to change the land to free-hold, essentially the QRU would become the owners and they would be able to do what they want with it, which will include selling parcels of the land to developers.

•During 2010 average broadcast audiences increased by almost 44% from 2009. So far in 2011 average broadcast audiences have increased by more than 95% from 2010,
• During 2011 media penetration increased by almost 100%,
• During 2011 average attendances increased by almost 30% from 2009,
• During 2011 membership increased by almost 200% from 2010,
• During 2011 Corporate Hospitality increased in excess of 200% from 2010.

Toua deserves a chance, they way he is playing in the premer grade is amazing. If one of Davies and Hynes was fit then Shipperly probably should of gone. Looks like Lucas won't be fit this weekend, so Shippers will probably be starting anyway

I am disappointed that we have done this. Surely we can always find an adequate winger for a few weeks in Queensland?
I know he is not experienced at Union but wasn't there a league player who was linked to the Rebels and they backed out? I think he ended up signing for the 7's team. I wonder if he would work out?

Feel sorry for Dom missing out on a once only opportunity to represent Australia (in 20's) to play for a S15 team (and possibly even on bench - although I suspect he will be run-on). He may go on to play 100 games for Queensland and never represent Australia at all - hope i'm right in the first instance and wrong in the second.

Having said all that - GO THE REDS

I'm more worried about Gill going to Italy.

If Beau, Samo, Higgers, Wallace-H, Schatz and Quirk get injured we be stuffed!
