Try Rebels on the 1/3 time buzzer to Mitchell.

Score 13-10 to Rebels.

Will they lose the 2nd half again, like last week and round 1?

James O'Connor. Good fly half.

Hmmmmm.......

I'm not won over by his overall performance in the first half.

That was definitely a well timed pass at the end there, but a few similar attempts have come off poorly........

JOC (James O'Connor) is genius. That would have been good to watch at the stadium.

Nice rugby, hope the 2nd half is as well.

That weird line out quick throw in I think may be a new rule. I could be waaaay off the mark though.
I have a vague recollection that if in that circumstance that the ball never crossed the plane of the touch line even though the catching player is out, the ball is not considered as being out. Hence, play on.
Can anyone clarify?

Excellent pass to set up Mitchell's try but he hasn't exactly shone in the first half. 2/4 with the boot and he is standing very, very deep.

People complain about how deep Barnes stands when he plays 10. O'Connor looks to be just as deep.

Except for the try.

Terrible miss Higginbotham. His defense can be pretty ordinary.

Ok. First, run the scenario through this flo chart: http://www.rugbyrefs.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1499&d=1304830014

As you can see. If the ball hasn't crossed the plane of touch, the ONLY way it can be put out is if a player outside the field is holding onto the ball.

In this case the player was holding it. The AR stuffed up because he was probably thinking of the laws saying "the ball isn't out until it crosses the plane of touch and hits something".

I don't blame him for getting it wrong. It's a lot of info to memorize and implement in 1 second.

Why do they keep going to Beale for comment when the Reds do something good or the Rebs do something bad?
Don't they like him or something?
