Excellent pass to set up Mitchell's try but he hasn't exactly shone in the first half. 2/4 with the boot and he is standing very, very deep.
People complain about how deep Barnes stands when he plays 10. O'Connor looks to be just as deep.
He started quite deep, ran it to the line then got a good pass away. I thought he'd overplayed it until he got that ball away. That's why I'm here and he's there. And other reasons.Except for the try.
That weird line out quick throw in I think may be a new rule. I could be waaaay off the mark though.
I have a vague recollection that if in that circumstance that the ball never crossed the plane of the touch line even though the catching player is out, the ball is not considered as being out. Hence, play on.
Can anyone clarify?
