I fkn love it from Noah. Weird but fun. Agreed on Carter not having a perfect game, he was good but our kicking was dreadful, there were a series where he just kicked directly to the fullback
Agreed I think Eddie will love it. We need considerably more of it as a game

not when you have a long range goal kicker that makes every player in world rugby panic in the last 10 min of the game when it’s close & provides an option to play anywhere with disruption of defensive personnel. He is the exact 23 the wallabies need.
What I mean is he has always been on the fringe as he can play everywhere but never specialised in any position. I have always been a big fan of his and would love to see him get to 100 caps for us

don't think there's much value in having hodge in the wc squad
He will be in the squad. The fact that he is only 26, has 63 caps, can play every position from 10-15, and can kick 60m goals will get him in the squad. He is rarely MOTM material but on the other hand never lets the team down. He may not be in the preferred 23 but he will be in France.

I can assure you that no international players think that way about Hodge

Honest question here: he’s probably your highest paid player- do you think his performances ever match?

I think Lonergan's goal kicking ability lets the rest of the bench be impact players.

Hodge is a good Wallaby but he's a stop gap. If he was the best at a position he would be put there permanently. I do think there is a chance he goes to the WC probably due to injury and he's been very durable.

Gordon out played Noah today. Noah is a nice player but he isn’t in the class of Gordon.

That try assist at the end of the first half, that’s why Carter is better. He can beat you one on one carrying the ball to the line the Brumbies know that saw that the d line collapsed inwards and he throws the perfect ball to the outside.
Carter definitely a step up on Noah, but I'd still take Noah over any of the other No10s currently playing in Aus. Noah is a class footballer, not necessarily a class No10.

Carter can do things that no other Aus No10 has been able since the younger days of Quade, and then he is a multi-times better defender than Quade. The Rebels are an improving side and can mix it with most when they have a full team of fit players, all pretty much on the back of Carter Gordon's influence.

He did, think someone's a bit unhappy to fall down the pecking order. Gordon played well, but he did have his mistakes as well. Noah 2nd try is a direct result of an extremely poor kick by Gordon.
Poor kick because the chase was poor. With a good chase it wouldn't have led to that try.

I agree I am not saying Noah isn’t a good player, to me there is an evenness is his game. He is good to very good at everything without relying being elite anywhere. I think Carter has that potential to be a world class 10

Well 3 tries on debut to beat the force when he was originally meant to be in the 23 jersey but the 10 and 15 went down was pretty special.

It’s hard to say is he worth the money he is on when I don’t know how much he gets paid

Agreed. Rebels kick chase is close to worst in comp. Only Ioane offers good pressure but is mediocre under high ball. Brumbies identified Talakai yesterday from drop outs and capitalized numerous times with his poor mobility. It’s an area they will be working on, they probably win comfortably yesterday if they perform better off drop outs or kick off receipts.

Carter Gordon is easily the best 10 across the Oz super rugby sides. He will be a great back up to QC (Quade Cooper) (Quade Cooper) and is miles in front of Foley. Exciting to have a 10 that can attack the line and has a brilliant passing game. Had a real crack in defence as well. Well played today.
I hope he gets as much exposure as possible to QC (Quade Cooper), he is the closest skills wise that we have to what QC (Quade Cooper) could do....and he can defend.
