JGB has been released..

Lance to join the Rebels, but has been told by Cheika where he sits in the pecking, so there’s a chance he may stay in in England if offered a better deal.

Meakes looking likely to join Rebels

Like Lance, Hanson may be released if offered a better deal.. all comes down to salary cap and wages

I wouldn’t mind getting Meakes but if we can’t get a decent 10 we’ll be going nowhere fast.

We have a enough centres. We need a good 5/8. Horowitz can do it, but appears to prefer the midfield. McGregor shows a shitload of promise, but need to grow into Super Rugby.

Don't forget, Hodge has also been training at 5/8 at Wobs camp. Could be a move there if we take Billy. Still, thought the Tahs is a more likely location for him.

Now, with Hanson keeping his options open, seems like Taf might me headed our way? With Jordan going up the Wallaby ranks, is it a good thing to have both him and Taf in the same Super Rugby team?

I'd take meakes but don't think we particularly need him. Agreed that we need a 5/8. It'd be nice if Hanson stayed, having uelese and Hanson in your 23 is quality

The rebel force. The rebellious force. Alternatively, they could do a star wars parody. Episode X - The Force Rebels

Bad thing. Especially from a Wallabies point of view.
I'd prefer it if we kept Chibba. Didn't TPN say he was going OS if the Force folded?

At the moment we have 26 players signed for next year.

Still in limbo:
  • Tom Moloney
  • Jordan Uelese
  • Siliva Siliva
  • Esei Ha'angana
  • Jordy Reid
  • Semisi Tupou
  • Parma Fou
  • Dom Shipperley
Rumoured ex-Force signings:
  • Adam Coleman
  • DH-P
  • RH-P
  • Richard Hardwick
  • Billy Meakes
Any others?
Assuming a squad size of 35, they're obviously not all going to fit.

The silence from the ARU about squad sizes and salary caps to accommodate the ex-Force players (and coaches) is deafening. Indicates to me that they had no plan in mind at all when they torched the Force and now probably can't come up with a solution that all franchises agree on, so just leaving it to the individual franchises to sort out the mess themselves.

Which of course will necessitate the culling of the existing rosters to absorb any ex-Force players they want.

I believe he's on the Rebels' books and he's currently playing NRC. Looks to be very much on the small side in the way he plays as well as in size to make much impression in Super Rugby. To date, I'd say he's been over-hyped.

Yes, Henry is starting this week for the Rising.

Yeh Hutch has played a few NRC games. Personally i think he would be of more value to the 7s program. Which leads to another question, why can't we have players dual signed on a super contract and the 7s contract at the same time? I understand the training is different, but surely Hutchinson would be better used on the 7s circuit and if the Rebels get a few injuries, could be called back into the squad. Coming next season, he could be a good bench player to bring on with 20 to go. But as i said before would rather him in the 7s squad, esp with the Comm Games, World Cup 7s, etc on this year.

Only saw the highlights from Argentina but it looked like our boys - current and future - had a good game.

Quite the cracking game from all our current and future representatives. Look at some highlights and you will be impressed!

It's not just the different training and body shape, the 7s are on a global tour until The end of May, so logistically it just wouldn't work. I don't see Andy Friend releasing his players to play Super Rugby either
