Never going to be disappointed in signing quality young players, but given the depth of back 3 players (And particularly Wingers) we have between both the main squad and extended squad, surely it would have been better to look for a half or a lock.

Same here. We have tonnes of Locks and Props, just laying bout.
(meanwhile, I get sad when I hear about Rebel Neville playing Brisbane grade when we could use him down here in Mexico).
My guess: HH will be a replacement for Dom. Another season out through injury only signed for a year. My money is on him earning some Yen in 2018.

I rate Hutchison's future prospects. But this isn't the NBA where stockpiling the best assets for asset's sake makes sense. It's possible they see him as a 13 or 15, he's certainly played there but in soup rugby he looks like a winger.

Kodama and Placid are only contracted for this year and, as Oztimmay said, Dom might be out of luck.
Still: English, Sefa, Koroibete, Fou, Maddocks + Huchison isn't bad stock.

McMahon injured his knee at rehab (a new injury) Jordy fractured his back at training then played two games. The Rebels have had an unbelievable number of injuries at training. WTF are the S&C guys doing??
