I'd love to see him stay for another two years. The team looks to be building a very solid squad and his signature would be the cream on the cake.

Hooker stocks still look bare and we haven't helped ourselves by having the bench hooker play the odd 5 minute cameo every other week.
I disagree on this. Yes, it would have been nice to see more of Shota and it makes it hard for the Rebels to decide whether to offer him a second year, but by all accounts (teammates, independent Shute Shield reviews) Pat Leafa is more than ready to be given the chance. Sexton has been impressing off the bench for Leinster as well. Worth remembering that we weren't expecting this much from Ged when we first signed him, as I am sure the Force weren't expecting this much from Tessman. I have faith in the coaching staff to unearth a quality rake as replacement for Ged

Who'd have thought that it would be the Rebels deciding if they do or don't want to keep the Wallaby 10?

Like I've said in previous postings I think it will be in Rugby's interest to maintain a good spread of Wallaby class talent accross all franchises; this includes keeping either JOC (James O'Connor) or KB (Kurtley Beale) at Melbourne and potentially recruiting another current Wallaby for the Force. It's important for the growth of the game in AFL mad Melbourne and Perth to use the big-name wallaby players for promotion and growing the local competition. You can see through multiple forms of social media they are quite active in the community and that can only be good for the game down here.

Having said that, if we lost both of them for next year (which I see as very unlikely) I think with the talent we have now we can remain very competitive and push for higher places.

Fair points, I've also heard that Pat is ready to step up. Regardless of which player is the anointed one, neither has been given many opportunities to acclimatise to the higher level. While we need to keep getting wins on the board it would be good to see Shota and Pat getting some more game time in the next four rounds.

Wouldn't read too much into this because news limited said it, but it looks we may get back Vuna, O'Connor and Beale t his weekend.

Article seems to think KB (Kurtley Beale) has his bags packed and ready to walk out the door. There's only that little pesky suspension thing to discuss...

Article does raise a good point..who would be omitted to make way for three wallabies? Could be a good change against the Reds after a winless SA tour, but do you go an break a good formula? Decisions decisions...

I can only see O'Connor coming in for Hegarty, his been good but his kicking is not up to standard.

Situati has done enough to warrant a start so if he is dropped for Vuna who has really had a poor season.

Beale needs to do more than a few days training to earn a spot in the squad. Think he needs a game for Rebel Rising or Footscray before he should join the Rebels.

NO NO NO, DON'T MESS WITH THIS TEAM BEFORE A BIG GAME!

Much as i agree, uncle Robbie will want to see JOC (James O'Connor) and KB (Kurtley Beale) get some game time. Not sure if KB (Kurtley Beale) has been training whilst in his facility, haven't been reading about his board paddling with RD. He'd wanna be running at near-peak to even be considered. This is probably his last chance to impress for the BIL test series, if he still has a chance.

My prediction would be for JOC (James O'Connor) and KB (Kurtley Beale) to start from the bench, so with the 4/3 bench combo and do some subbing around the 45 - 55min window. Probably a good time to unleash the ranga too, he'll give genia a good run for his money.

O'Connor at 12. Please. Please please please.

Can't see JOC (James O'Connor) wearing a 12 because RD will want to see him run at 10.

It's okay to dream right?Beale can come off the bench.

It's always good to dream. I'm dreaming of a home grand final where we beat the sharks with a drop goal after the siren kicked either by Laurie Weeks (all props aspire to this) or a all-field try by Woodward (with a little bit of that touchline magic he threw in on Friday night). If this would ever happen I reckon there will be no Beer left in Richmond that night...

Like this effort:

Something like that, only this time his team will want him to do it. Cannon's look from the stand is priceless...

Not a prop but how about this effort

This one is the one I was originally looking for. A bit more "rural" forward like effort.

i hope there a few if any changes to the line up, notwithstanding the talent available. JOC (James O'Connor) for hegarty only. sidey had a very good game especially the defence, made a huge number of telling tackles. we are scoring tries and only now is the D beginning to work, so lets not meddle too much huh, please coach.

oh, and "release the ranga" earlier
