Exactly, Thanks for nothing, and no you can't have them.

Seriously though, we have a habit of giving you some of the smaller statured hookers we've developed.

How about Hugh Roach? Isn't he on the market at the end of this year?

I would saythe way teesmann is playing ben whittiker might be looking for a new team next year. Could be a good buy.

speaking of hookers

i assume the long term (2-3 years) plan is pat leafa and the long long term plan (3-5 years) moli sooaemalelgi as the hookers. in the interim sexton and ?horie again next year as the preferred options, but you would expect leafa to get some game time if not this year certainly next.

as an aside i don't understand the reluctance to give shota horie a bit more game time rather than the 5 min cameo every now and again. any ideas or inside info anyone ?

yes

? sexton i think his name is

Tom Sexton, who is a Melbourne-born (and thus Australian qualified) hooker, who is playing for Leinster.

I think Ged may leave because of the reduction in our foreign spots as well as possibly Shota. But I would expect Pat Leafa to still be here.

swingpass I have been thinking the exact same thing re: Horie and his game time. There has also been 4 games where Horie has sat on the bench all game.

Leafa may get a game in June (I think v Brumbies) because Horie may be away with the Japanese team who host Wales at that time.

Saffy>Fuglistaller. The rest, yes.
A good young pack.

While this has been a pretty mixed (read: disappointing) season so far, the signs are there for a very solid team going forward.

I'm not privy to the internal affairs of the club, but i've always thought that the decision makers were too respectful/shy of Melbourne's sporting market. They chased too many headline recruits without respecting the need to build a strong culture based on hard work and discipline.

Kimami Sitauti is playing for the Rebel Rising tonight v NSW Country at Harlequins. Good to see him back from injury. The Rebels named for this match are Eddie Aholelei, Chris Thomson, Jordy Reid, Tim Davidson, Alex Rokobaro, Sitauti and Bryce Hegarty. There is no Pat Leafa but Adam Freier has been named on the bench. I assume Leafa has travelled to Christchurch as cover for Ged and Shota. Or is he injured?
