Unfortunately, in the cold and wet of Invergargill they are not going to get many chances. See Tah game from two seasons back for a look at the conditions Rebels will experience.

I may have mentioned this previously but I have often speculated on how much damage the televising of Super games from New Zealand does to their inbound tourism.

Hamstrings are the bane of our existence

JOC (James O'Connor), Beale and Kingi back though.

I'll take that trade

There are a couple of AFL clubs that have sacked their S&C staff/coordinator due to continued occurrences of soft tissue injuries such as hamstrings.

Perhaps the Rebels need to look carefully at the S&C program?

I would agree.
hamstring injuries are more often than not the result of an improper workout routine. With JOC (James O'Connor), Beale (granted his was existing), Kingi, Cipriani and Inman all sidelined with hamstring injuries it makes you wonder if the backs are being properly conditioned.

that's a lot of hamstrings to go out at one team.

I'd love to see the results if a professional rugby team started doing yoga several times a week throughout the year.

Haven't had a hamstring injury in the Reds Forwards for a while, so you might be onto something there. Having said that it didn't help Ant, but maybe only Saia goes.

Cooper Cronk is holding a press conference at AAMI Park tomorrow about his future...

All kinds of rumours circulating...

But he's probably sticking with the Storm...

This probably belongs in another thread, but does anyone really care what this bloke does? A press conference? Just sign the contract and get on with things lady-boy.

mungo's care.
we don't need another league convert. their success rate is low and we've got one who is succeeding with flying colours and one who is starting to come good. probability says our next one will be rubbish.
we certainly don't need a 5'10 league five eighth

he was a very very good schoolboy rugby player before he turned to the dark side

I think many of them may do so already. I can tell you Uni does pilates sessions, so you would assume the 'pro' teams have something similar in their programs.

i've heard that. but it was over 12 years ago when he was 16.
anyways. he's going to the storm for life apparently.

re the yoga. a lot of teams do. I know the swans and other footy teams have it as a regular part of their routine, ditto pilates. you'd think rugby teams would too.
the hammies at the rebels are a concern. i want to see inman back asap.

thoughts on lloyd? i didn't think he was too bad last weekend, but readily admit I have trouble telling if he's playing well.

you would have to think that the rebels will be chasing palu for next season with his contract up and delve heading to toulon. a lot of freed up cap room with delve and cipriani going.

Ryan giggs attributes yoga for allowing him to play professional football in his late 30's. His only regret is that he didn't start earlier.

I thought about doing yoga once, but couldn't bring myself to go. A mate went once and apparently the women fart heaps and he just lost it every time one of them did and totally ruined the meditation.

Cronk is too far gone to be saved. Mungos should only be signed if they are still in their early 20's or younger.

I think it's probably fair to say that people who become elite footballers (whether in league or union) would dominate either code as a teenager. You're a much bigger fish in a smaller sea than when they join the professional ranks with all the big fish.

Hopefully there are plenty of people in Waratahland telling Cliffy what a horrible, inhospitable place Melbourne is.

Heh... when trying to poach Tahs players, do you think rival franchises bring their medical staff to the meeting to show off the skills they can offer?

Yoga is great fun.

Just got this from the Rebels, they're a very smart organisation. And just on the yoga/pilates thing, I guarantee that they do it. They'd have a few dedicated sessions per week, and would constantly be stretching even when not training.

Dear Dumbledore,

As a Foundation Member of the RaboDirect Rebels we want to give you the
opportunity to offer a friend or family member a random act of kindness.

All you have to do is send us the email of someone who you want to come to
the RaboDirect Rebels vs Blues at AAMI Park on Thursday 5th April, 7:40pm
and we'll send them a FREE double general admission pass!

Just click the button below Dumbledore, fill in their email address and we'll
email the tickets out before the match.

Just let us know by 2pm, Monday (2nd April 2012).

:/ I haven't received mine yet.

Sounds like a great initiative, although it will mean that I'll have to meet whatever friends I bring after the game.
