The North Harbour Coat Hangers?
The JAFNHers . -->Jaffnah's

Nah, too contrived. Devonport NH is home to what remains of the NZ Navy so I'm thinking something naval or at least nautical. Frigates, perhaps, being both a type of warship & a seabird. Or taking the avian theme a step further, Seagulls?

Lolohea's hat trick:

Came across from Junior Warriors end of 2013 but has had some injuries so only now getting decent game time. Clearly has a future if he can stay healthy & you'd think will be a Crusader next year.

^^^^^^^^ stumbled across a YouTube vid of "Auckland Seagulls" v someone so that & Harbour Pirates it is. Hibiscus? WTF kinda name is that for a footy team? I mean, seriously, who names their footy team after a freakin' FLOWER :) :) :)

Now just need something better than "Cantabs". League & bounceball teams use(d) Bulls but 'naki have dibs on that. Lambs is just too damn soft, cute & cuddly so how's about Rams (or are King Country still using that)?

FT Hogs 37-36 Wellys who've gone from 4/4 to 4/6 in under a week.
Pretty exciting finish, I was just saying to SWMBO that Wellington would probably just hold on when nek minnit Otago "find the seam" down the middle of the Lions' defence and finish them off. Good judge I'm not.

Ardie Savea must be gutted, looked to have scored the match-winner then gets binned with four on the clock. Bad enough to concede one try but then this:

Mooloos about to get held to nil for the first time since 1985 or 299 NPC/ ANZC/ ITM Cup matches ago........... Big cheer as Beaver comes on with 0:25 left on the clock.

FT 'naki 41-0 Mooloos.

In the end, a few key moments were the difference. A deserved victory to the Magpies but the BOP can hold their heads high tonight.

Didn't watch all of it, but Auckland defeated Tasman 28-19. Didn't get the bonus point, but still a decent result for a squad where something like a third of the team is in its debut season.
