Queensland Reds 2026

To put this in rugby terms (and hopefully end this mess of a situation)- Adam, you took the ball into contact but were too high in the collision. Scrum called, feed to Nugget.

Is is now upto us, the collective, to push the same way, towards the uprights.

Let’s not engage in the backchat, let’s focus positively on the Reds. Enough.
I engaged Nugget on the topic, which part was unfair?
What are you doing?

I mentioned that the Brumbs would be in the same boat as the Reds if they couldn’t get out of the semis. They had a better injury run and a better draw.
Although they seemed to match it with chiefs, they lost by 20 points just like the reds.
They should be judged the same as the reds.
Yeah I don't agree with this. Brumbies certainly deserve some criticism for 4 straight semi final losses, but they have been the only Aussie team that has been able to even compete with the Kiwi sides near the top of the table the last 5 years and were a couple of plays away from playing in 2 Finals. Reds haven't sniffed a semi final in that time

The Reds haven't really fired a shot in any big game in a long time, and that's an issue considering how talented the roster is and how highly thought of the coach is. Understand the injuries this year, but they still put a really talented team on the field that in my opinion didn't play anywhere near to their potential, much the same as the 2024 QF vs the Chiefs

2026 is a make or break year for the Reds IMO. It's year 3 for Les Kiss, they really need to make the leap otherwise it could feel like a wasted generation considering all the talent they have brought through at the same time

I don't think it really is - it's a bit of a free hit year. 2027 - no matter what they are getting a new coach. Most of the big players are on long term contracts beyond this.
