Queenslands traditional animal emblem is the Drop Bearwho and why did the name "REDS" get chosen? The traditional state rep colour has always been MAROON.
What is a RED? Most teams have an emblem/logo/ alter ego that is a tangible item ie Tigers, Hurricanes, Lions, Crusaders, Rebels, Brumby.
Really like the team.My early pre-season XV for 2025 (I'm bored at work):
1. Hodgman
2. Faesslar
3. Nonggorr
4. Smith
5. Salakai-Loto
6. Wright (cc)
7. McReight
8. Wilson
9. McDermott (cc)
10. Lynagh
11. Daugunu
12. Paisami/Henry (I prefer Henry but Paisami has the runs on the board so a toss up between the two)
13. Flook
14. Ryan
15. Campbell (Gordon to also get gametime with an eye to the future)
16. Nasser
17. Gibbon
18. Toomaga-Allen (De Luttiss to also get gametime)
19. Canham
20. Uru (Bryant and Brial to also get gametime)
21. Werchon
22. McLaughlin-Phillips
23. Goldsbrough (my bolter for the 25 season)
There will be injuries which will sideline some players, but for once it seems like we actually have some solid depth across all positions (especially in the forwards), so I wouldn't be surprised if some of the fringe players (Brial, Bryant, Fa'agase, Asiata, Blyth, De Luttiss, Gordon, Anderson etc) get significant minutes).
Blyth should ask for a loan to the Tahs. Likely his best chance of returning to gold
That's a nice jersey. For me it's a big improvement on last year. Tested the water on the throwback design, people liked it so went all in and it's the right call.
@Marce thoughts? Haven't heard from him in a while.....
I doubt Marce will be back, a few people here were pretty rude to him, it was embarrassing (not an accusation directed at you).
I'm pretty sure he grew up in another part of the world with English being his second or third language, not everyone gets the way we communicate. I thought he was okay, there's worse than him gracing our pages.
What happened to them?FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) (Fergus Lee-Warner) and Angelo Smith in one week, rough.
Just read in other thread FLW (Fergus Lee-Warner) has foot bone issues after Japan game. Must be a serious weird one to get 12 months straight up.Out for the year? shouldn't they be sitting on a beach somewhere right now?
I’m not convinced Canham is ahead of him at this stage but, in any case, managing a rotation of 4 locks shouldn’t be overly difficult. Injuries will inevitably play a big part.Blyth should ask for a loan to the Tahs. Likely his best chance of returning to gold
That and the incessant and frequently undeserved negativity. It was the running commentary on a match completed hours beforehand that was the point of contention. That's not a communication breakdown, it's self absorbed nonsense that just leads to a poor experience for everyone.

Didn't he stop the running commentary after he was made aware that it wasn't liked? For me that could be a form of communication breakdown.
I do believe it is unfair to say it was self absorbed, how could we ever know that?
I'm also pretty sure it wasn't a poor experience for everyone...

Was like listening to one of those sad old guys that hangs out at the pokies all day drinking.
The thing that got me was the consistent theme of "this is going to be a disaster", "the Wallabies are hopeless", "things will get worse", "the result should have actually been worse", "this player is crap", "this player is finished and doesn't deserve a starting spot", & "rugby in Australia is doomed".I didn't see it as incessant, maybe I'm getting a bit more forgiving in my old age?
There's probably better places to hang out at than at than pokies.
Oh fuck. The thing that got me was the consistent theme of "this is going to be a disaster", "the Wallabies are hopeless", "things will get worse", "the result should have actually been worse", "this player is crap", "this player is finished and doesn't deserve a starting spot", & "rugby in Australia is doomed".
That level of consistent pessimism and cynicism about the outcome of things that haven't even happened yet isn't healthy.
If rugby or any other hobby isn't making you happy anymore, then maybe it's best to give it a break.
Fucken ease up.You’ve just described 90% of Derpus’ posts, to be fair.
