Queensland Reds 2025

Unless there was more said at the actual pres conference, Kiss simply said : “He was really looking forward to the Spring Tour, and if not, then joining the A team afterwards. Now is the time for him to go and get the job that’s needed on it [his shoulder], and I daresay by the first game of the year, he may be available again.

Nick Wright reported that it was a full reconstruction, so its hard to say if Nick is just extrapolating or whether more was said.

From memory, Liam's injury was a nerve one, so it could be possible that its a clean up and small repair and not a full reconstruction i.e. the 3-6 month recovery period we're thinking of.
Shoulder recon is due to a new injury, probably related but seperate. I don't think there was any speculation/extrapolation from Nick Wright on the reconstruction, given he had a date and location:
Wright is expected to have a full reconstruction on Monday in Sydney, having endured a frustrating rehabilitation in which complications and an “innocuous clean out” at training exposed further concerns.

Still a net loss in the playmaker/fullback category with Creighton, Grealy and JOC (James O'Connor) all departing IMO, withstanding the further development of HMP and Lynagh.

From what I saw of Grealy and Creighton they are only a loss in the sense that they could fill in to a vaguely adequate standard in the absence of someone better.

JOC (James O'Connor) is no loss IMO.
