Now that hate week is out of the way, let's hope he keeps on improving. I expect we would see a similar then and now video for JOC (James O'Connor).

With the above plus Lealiifano, To'omua & Beale as well as Gits and Barnes, I think we are well covered for 10/12 heading towards the next RWC in Dingo's dual ball player game plan.

Funnies aide, I believe Quade is is one of the greatest natural talents that we will see in the game today.

mock me now at your own peril.

In my mind he is a goose until such a time as he loses that ridiculous bunny/kangaroo hop .

I've said it before, Quade has done more impressive things in a Wallaby jersey than Barnes has even thought of doing.

So far all the talk has been about Barnes and Quade is the one that's played the rugby.

I reckon with the right mentoring this guy will achive more than Beale and Barnes put together.

I disagree, Blue. He hasn't got what it takes between the ears; what's happening up there at the moment just takes too much reprogramming. Beyond the realms of medical science, I'm afraid.

I agree, he has the most natural physcial talent of just about any player in Oz.

However I also agree with Lindommer, it hard to see that he is ever going to realise his full potential.

I guess we could use Latham as a comparison though. He would stuff up a lot when he first started, and then became the best in the world. In saying that, he didn't start playing rugby until he was around 18 though.

The world is full of very talented people. There is a plethora of wasted talent.
Using that talent to it's best efficiency is what makes a champion, someone great.
Cooper ain't got it.

Cooper is a lot more impressive than Beale at this stage but it's only round 1 on 2010.

Well I hope I'm right becuase I think he has more natural talent than Barnes, who becuase of his poster image has been talked up way too much.

Time will tell.

Beale: 0
Cooper: 1

Barnes also has one of the best tackles for a back in the game. With he and Burgo defending at 9/10 that channel is damn well defended

This is a massive exaggeration and overstatement. He may not become a world beater, but to put him in the column of wasted talent is incorrect.

It is also an exaggeration to say the world is full of very talented people. There is not one of my friends that I would say have anywhere near natural hand eye co-ordination to become an elite level sportsman or sportswoman (except the one that already is).

Extremely talented people don't grow on trees, and the top level ones are so much higher than even a good sportsman it isn't funny. Obviously I realise that hard work and effort have a lot to do with it though.

And Beale would have dropped Palu for sure!
What did Beal do in that game to produce points for NSW?
No wait I will answer that.
Nothing!
Cooper has a way to go yet but with Link coaching the side now and Cooper playing for his rugby career I expect that he will make a far greater impact this year that last.

Yep, I'm sure Beale would have easily tackled Palu.
Beales' defence in this game was the best I've seen it, and yes, I'd like to think Beale would have gotten a hand to him. Sure Palu may still have run through him, but he'd at least have slowed him down, allowing the other three players in the 5 metres between the missed tackle and the line to gain sight of Wycliff before he grounds the ball.

Beale is still behind Quade in terms of development, you only have to look at the international test caps to see this, Beale may have been in jured in 2008 when Quade grasped the opportunity but he wasnt injured in 2009 when Quade was picked ahead of him.

Quade is still a very young bloke, he now has a lot of experience behind him however mental maturity doesnt truly hit until your 21/22. I think Quade will finish 2010 as arguably the best 5/8 in the country, Giteau may be in the winning team however thats due to been behind the winning pack.

I would rather have Cooper any day of the week over Beale in terms of rugby ability. Off the field, it wouldn't matter as long as they they had a minder!

On Cooper, he looks much much better for Aus when he can underplay his hand, at S14 level he still just tries to do too much at times. But he is getting better as he learns.

On Beale, he has looked far better at S14 level (playing in a successful team has helped of course), but has ended up wounded for the home international matches for the last two years, he would have had more test appearances apart from this.
