don't know how those media reports of him being unhappy to be with the Reds come from. He looks ecstatic!

This picture highlights how much physical work NRL teams load their players with. The normal 20yro rugby player in no where as developed physically

Jake Shatz looks like he has bulked up a fair bit, could see him debut in 2010

yeah that is spot on. he is a good player.

does anyone know much about albert anae? watched a bit of him at the U20s and he looked the goods. very strong through contact. we have some excellent front rowers coming through if we can hold onto them.

Leroy is still looking chubby. I'm hoping he gets hammered and gets it to muscle. A week or two ago there was a picture of him at training on the front page of the Reds homepage. Ezra Taylor is looking fit, though.

Ezra Taylor has never had a problem for getting fit, it was injuries that stike him down, although i suppose the fitter he is the less likely he is to get injured..

Ive heard a little about Albert Anae, he has a lot of potential, however there were reservations that his 'skill' was related to the fact that as a polynesian he had a earlier growth spurt then the opposing players and whether he actually had the skill and motivation to push on, he has since shown a strong determination, and whilst a 2010 debut is unlikely he should be more then ready by 2011.

Albert Anae is normally a prop but recently they've tried to convert him to hooker. He's currently an Academy player - from Sunnybank. Very strong scrummager and pretty mobile for someone of his size. I actually saw him play Colts in a game as a flanker last year! He attended Centenary State High and subsequently Ipswich Grammar on a scholarship - he was a Prefect there. He played for Queensland, Australian Schoolboys and as you've mentioned Australian U20s in Japan.

He's a lovely well-mannered young man, respected by all. It's rugby players like him that you hope do well and get the recognition they deserve.
