When in fact, the club culture at Souths Logan is what has given the bloke the start of a career post-rugby and he was really well respected at the club.
I'm all for pumping up rugby, but I don't think it's accurate to say the club culture in league is lacking and can push players out. If anything, I think the professional nature of the QCup competition gives everything a bit more polish and can assist players with their life after footy.
I don't know what happened with the Vaihu kid, never met him, so maybe your assessment in that space is fair. But it definitely wasn't the case for Joe. He's still going along to all the Souths Logan events as well as a special invite, you'll see him in their State of Origin box this Wednesday night.
