Re womens: Do the non premier clubs get a chance to play in Div 1 if they get results?
I hope not. last year wests second womens team beat nearly every suburban team by 70+ points. i think there were a couple of games they won by over 100 points. Id hate to see the premiers clubs play the minnows. it'd be a bad look.

Hence caveat of if they get results

Credit to QPR if they play on tomorrow but I hope it’s not at the detriment of some fields for the long term of the season.

Lots of rain tonight and isn’t forecast to ease up.

I understand some degree of optimism and lack of faith in weather forecasts, but it seemed odd for most clubs to post entire Saturday schedules per usual when it was clearly going to be very wet.
Agreed not too many fields could cope with a few games today and not pay heavily for the rest of the season

Easts approach of only playing one game on their main pitch seems sensible.
I suppose that if premier grade game goes ahead it has to be on main oval due to Stan commitments.

UQ leaking nearly 80 points in the last 2 games - going to be a long season if they don’t start turning this around - 7 prem players walking out on the club at the end of last season isn’t helping things either

GPS n EASTS both looked good - didn’t see Brothers game in ACT - difficult day to make too many assumptions for the rest of the season but well done to those that handled conditions well
