Would have to agree GPS are looking very string with a very strong forward pack bolstered by outside back from Souths I see them being an excellent team
but for mine I think East are the Smokey.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned yet - do we think there will be an influx of leaguies down at the clubs? I'm not sure about the lower grades but Intrust Cup is definitely still cancelled for the year. Some of the fringe NRL blokes who aren't associated with teams may be looking to get some miles under them and keep themselves relevant.

Maranta had a lot of unfair pressure on him, I thought he good at Premier Rugby level for Wests, but because he'd come from the Broncos and was signed with the Reds, everyone had Lote Tuiquri expectations for him when he was no where near that level to begin with.
A couple dribblings of leaguies throughout the clubs would be good, in my experience they add a bit of starch to the defence.

Very Intelligent Player...I think people were expecting some type of amazing finisher in the back three.
But what they got was a great defender and solid ball player in the 13 channel...I just wish he got more time in the 13 role at Super/NRC level

2000 spectators allowed into stadiums from this weekend is a good sign for QPR crowds.
I'm sure most clubs would see significant benefit of getting even 500-1000 allowed at the grounds.

I can see all of the clubs madly setting up the last round as ladies/old boys day combined.
u can only hope I strongly suspect that that by the time games come around the restrictions will be lifted.

The numbers are the numbers - dating back to 2010 the average number of wins by the team qualifying 4th in QPR is 9.8 wins (disregarding BPs)
This equates to 4.9 wins in a 8 (+1 bye) games season.
Uni won 10 games in 2019.

I have heard that no one in the extended Reds squad is going to be allowed to play QPR until Super Rugby commitments are wrapped up.
This is going to bring the Brothers, Uni, GPS who have large representations back to the field.
Just another element to QPR20.

The reality is, the winner of this years comp is forever going to have an * next to their name due to the challenges being presented. Shorter comp, players who aren't available as per the above, internationally based players who are available who normally wouldn't be etc.
I'm really looking forward to seeing some club footy, but honestly I wouldn't use it as a benchmark for what 2021 may look like in terms of the top teams.

With restrictions being lifted in Qld earlier than expected , we will hopefully see good patronage at QPR games and clubs gain a much needed economic boost .
Depending on how the numbers go Covid wise , could even get some of the Reds’ extended squad back playing QPR if the Rebels set up camp outside of Melbourne . Maybe just wishful thinking ....

Asterix are saved for dubious decisions such as cheating or blatant biased by referees which cost a team the championship.
That can all eventually pan out but it’s not gonna be a issue for me the shortened season. Just glad to have it
