This weeks games: Bros v Easts; Uni v Wests and Snbk v Souths will be very important results. A Bond loss to Norths this Saturday would secure the wooden spoon for the Gold Coast side..

I'm predicting a Sunnybank loss at home to a buoyant Souths team.My work colleague informs me this week they will be missing lots of players (I feel I have secret information hahah):
Hennway - injury
laloifi - injury
Koliavu - injury
Quick - itm
Fotualii - itm
Taefu - Samoa
Fines - World club 10
Fenner - World club 10

Easts are in great form at the moment, I would not be surprised if they knock off 2/3 of the top teams. They're playing really good footy of late. Brothers may be strife this weekend if they give away as many penalties as they did against Jeeps. Returning to Crosby Park may give Brothers assistance as they play far better at home (like most teams).

Where has George Morseu been playing? I see the Brumbies have picked him in a squad they are taking to Singapore to take on a Asia Pacific Dragons team later this month.

If there was ever a time for Bond to show something, its now. Horrible season so far, forward pack cant compete on set pieces, especially scrums. They're desperate for a decent prop. Tai Ford probably the only player who has stood out this season.

They have selected the Premier & Prem Colts squads for the QLD Country games but they are waiting until after tomorrow's games to release the teams.

I think the players selected have been contacted.

In the Premier Squad the number of players by club are:
Brothers 4
Souths 4
Bond 3
Norths 3
Easts 3
Sunnybank 3
Uni 2
GPS 1
Wests 0

3 bond players and Uni, Jeeps and Wests have 3 between them? Who chose this team.

Tyrell Barker makes a rep team again hahaha its almost comical - so from what is posted above - this is not a "best of" team more of a who the clubs would release?

Wests must be resting their players for the postseason.

Either that or the whole premier colts team selected came from the Bulldogs and the qru wanted to make things fair on the timber club they decided against any Wests premier players

or maybe there were better players in the same position as players nominated from Wests...................

Other clubs, especially brothers, always did love to beat on sunnybank. Moonrat is this still sour grapes from the absolute flogging you copped at Oldmac last month? The beauty of a club like sunnybank is the depth and strength of the whole club. You are right that they have about 8 players out and gone but I am prepared to wager that they will still come up trumps over souths. Even with those 8 players out the team on paper is still one of the strongest in the comp... McIntyre, Laloifi, Strachan, Isaac Lucas, Chazz Mahina... and Richard Kingi is a pretty good replacement for Isaac Fines. A safer bet is that brothers will lose to Easts this weekend. The slide will continue.

SX - don't get too excite about how many Wests lads will be in the Prem Colts side.

The Wests player I think is most deserving of higher recognition is Byron Hutchinson - I think he has been one of the most consistent Bulldogs for 4/5 years now.

Not only is he a continual threat from the back his goal kicking is impeccable.
His effort last week from the side line directly in front of the Easts supporters who were absolutely giving it to him resulted in applause all round from even those rampant Tiger supporters. Lesson - don't waste your time giving it to him because he just thrives on the pressure.

Fidow & Lynch could justifiably feel aggrieved but you just don't know what the selection criteria was.

Sorry no history here. 12 months in AU, first season of watching prem rugby week in week out. I was only repeating a conversation with a work colleague who is a die hard dragons supporter who shared with me his concern. He was also complimentary of the positive change in performance out of Souths.
I would like to see the dragons win, I had probably the best afternoon of rugby (and beer) when I went there to watch Brothers lose. If I lived closer they would be my team of choice.
