QLD GPS Rugby 2019

I would like to apologise to all the BBC supporters for my rant - I didn’t know BBC was the only GPS school to have only one Premiership under their belt in the last 101yrs of footy, and a 4 way tie back in 1954 at that.

Now I see why 2nd place is such a massive achievement - well done lads great season, whoever said 2nd place is the just the first loser is a bad sport.

All the best for 2020 #AndImOut
Wow, what did BBC do to you to make you so angry? n?

Statistically is that the worst performing Terrace 1st XV season? Or are there other contenders?

Wow - what a 15A grand final yesterday
Same teams for last 3 years
BSHS got up 15 -14
Some brilliant rugby
We will see in 1sts next year
BBC 10 and 8
BSHS 10, 8 and 13

And yes -13 is the next Pasitoa .

53rd minute in the IGS vs GT game when the Walker handed one of his second rowers a try. It was a nice team moment. I think the IGS number 8 could do big things in 2020

Welcome to the forum. Great first post.
Been watching the bbc bullshit for years just find it hilarious that you guys blame everything everyone on anything but yourselves. Here’s a thought how about saying, wow another missed opportunity. Yes the team was amazing but I wonder if your still peddling your ice cream vans in a couple of years. Saw your u13’ had a tough day

BSHS rugby in deep deep shit
Their firsts and seconds lost yesterday by over a combined total of 150 points
They forfeit “ on the day “ 16 B And 14 B - what a shit way to end the season
But hey - their soccer program is booming .

giving everyone a general warning to raise the bar a little. The maturity levels have skydived of late.

Celebrate the season. It's just kids

Seems a real issue across lots of schools that rugby numbers are well down. Soccer and Basketball numbers very strong. Really think the years of ARU, Wallabies and Reds disasters has taken its toll, as kids dont dream of being a wallaby these days! Throw in last years serious injuries and it all adds up to less kids wanting to play rugby. I really think the ARU or whatever they are called need to try and adopt the NZ schools model and try and enhance what is being done at school boy level. Need to get GPS rugby back in term 2, then go into a state based or regional comp for say under 15 and above with all teams playing for state and national honors (opens only) . Got to keep league out which is now being played at AIC schools in term 3. Might be too late for test now though, once it gets a foot in, will be hard to compete with!

Nz schools are struggling with participation numbers I believe and also big issues with some schools recruitment stacking teams. If coaches and selectors are doing their job well the cream gets the chance to rise to the top regardless of which school wins comp.

In a wrap up of the tipping season unfortunately All Over It tipped this weekend and won over all. A few people chased some upsets, hopeful that would get them over the line, but alas it didn't work.

Thanks all for being involved. Hopefully we can do it again in 2020, I'm thinking of making a few changes to make rounds like the last one more exciting. I ran a line in the Premier tipping comp about five years ago that worked quite well. Any feedback will be taken on too.

Well done All Over It. 30/36 is impressive in anyone's eyes, especially with two draws in the season.

For me the $64,000,000 question is not whether the best team won the comp(IMO -BBC were the best team I saw this year and if they played TSS 10 times would have won 9) but the real question is:
-how the hell did ACGS beat IGS at IGS on old boys day?
