Lazy recruitment .really .. so are you going to guarantee us that the other schools arent going to find some front rowers and tall players for that age group in later years .lol.. i know we will at BBC ..
Poor churchie/nudgee parents.. maybe you should take your model to the reds. ..lol

Quite frankly I don't care what you guys do or any other school does, if you need to import players in U13 and U14 to have bragging rights thats your choice. Then what do you do when the rest of the pack catches up and some of these kids aren't as effective as they use to be, just because their big now don't mean that they will be big later. Import some more to replace those that don't cut it anymore. Starts to get expensive I am sure full paying parents are going to be quite happy when they see their school fees going up and up after all someone in the end has to pay for all this.
Don't forget all players need to be developed including these kids that you are importing, I guess the hard work is done for you by the clubs. So if you think a good Rugby program is let someone do it for you and we will just buy the players in thats fine, its also lazy.
I am not against importing players buts it needs to be sensible and for the right reasons and to win a U13 or 14 premiership is not one of them.
And if you think you can start making comparisons with school boy Rugby to what the Reds do it may explain a lot with whats going around it your head.
Lol!

The NC U15 team are poorly coached this year . but dont you judge players on how effective they are in their age groups. how they contribute to the program .eg results and years playing first . lol they will be the backbone of NC program for the next 2-3 years.

NC U15A poorly coached? They are undefeated, they beat BGS with 12 of their players at State Champs & they beat TGS with half their team away on immersion. Lets see how they finish the season- you've clearly got no idea.

Really no idea...same players less points score and yes they should win it... maybe you should ask around ... hey its just my opinion we all have one....

Go,
Thank you for supporting my argument. We need to lift that percentage by providing the coaching.
Maybe not all schools take this approach. i know that NC, BSHS, Ippy, GT all pride themselves on the importance to have the best coaches on U13 and U15 teams for player development..[/quote]

Agree very important that this age bracket gets the best coaches for development in the basics and game management. Churchie does not seem to have this attitude. If you are big you must be good.

Less points scored from when.. last year? As i'm sure you're aware 14A is a totally different game to 15A. In 14A big & fast = score lots of points, in 15A you have to start to earn your points. You also mentioned same team, yes correct besides injuires, but the other schools have a few new faces which also changes things.

just wait and see

Sorry just my opinion as Ive watched them play only two games this year and most of their games last year... just saying the pattern and what the coach is getting out the players last year was better.. you dont agree?? You think this year they are better coached ?? All good was just my opinion but who am I ...just a lonely BBC parent on the other end of their results...lol

Having spoken to a few out Nudgee way close to this team - you are not on your own with this opinion - bit sad we wont get to see the GT V NC showdown this season and next year I expect will be impacted by 1st XV selection.

@ Lion

There is a lot to be said for upping the Coaching ante between the U12 to U15 Age Groups and I am a big advocate of this.

What would you say it costs ? In real dollar terms ? Y'know to pay for the right people and independent of the well meaning teachers , Dad Coaches , and uni students.

More the point ..............what would you pay on a user pays basis to an Academy driven program as a bolt on ?

And yeah that it is a bit of a loaded question as it comes down to :

1. Who's involved
2. What are they running etc

And I haven't met a Rugby Parent Tragic / Amateur - impassioned "Dad Coach" who is without elevated opinion and so quick to throw everyone else under the bus and promote themselves as all knowing whilst everyone else is a clueless bozo.

They'd actually make good Swimming or Tennis Parents

And speaking of which ..........other sports within GPS Schools run Club, Academy or Elite Training Programs ( see : Basketball, Tennis and Swimming ) where the cost of year training, specialisation, and competition opportunity gets passed on to financially invested parents.

So again ..........I ask you .............with your prior stated stance on more Rugby playing opportunities , better - more professional Coaching .................to invest in this ideal with the same parallel of importance of English and Maths ................to increase the output of professional footballers that come out of this stable ...........................

What would be the cost ? Who should wear it ? And how much would you be prepared to pay for what your idea model looks like with the right kind of people running it ( that I presume look a lot like you :) )

What say you ?

BBC V State High
Both ends of the roller coaster here. BBC recovering from a 20 plus pounding by the Boondall Bears and State High coming from the dizzy heights of a win over the Blue Light Blue last week.
BBC will be more pissed off than Mark Geyer with a bull ant bite on his left nut. With premiership aspirations well and truly ditched - another loss this season and the kilt supporters will be asking serious questions of each other.
High will have a crack early but I think Ngamanu and friends might just have too much hole-finding firepower in the end.

Ipswich Vs Terrace
OK so the trip to the beach didn't quite go to plan for the Switchers last week, but they did have a nice swim between flags on the way home. Terrace saw off the boys from the badlands and they'll be hoping that any winning momentum is good momentum. Logic would tell you that Terrace have the smarts to win this, but Ippy really do have some talent in their team and I can see this going down to the wire. Both teams were belted by TSS and coupled with the fact that the Red Black are making the trip to the coal mine this could be tighter than a nuns nasty.
Ipswich by 2

Nudgee Vs Churchie
Nudgee were at another level last week but the question is can they keep it up and do it again?
The Blue & White supporters will be cockier than Shane Warne after 4 viagras at the strippers and the noise coming out of that timber grandstand will reach decibels not heard before if they chalk up a win on Saturday.
Churchie will want to have things sorted to be any hope and if they ride out to Boondall in their Climate Controlled Range Rovers looking for a nice little game of Rugger and a cup of tea they will get pummeled.
Nudgee by 16

Toowoomba V Brisbane Grammar
This is not going to end well for the boys in the Blue I'm afraid. Toowoomba will be fired up and choco-block full of angry pills on the red dirt. They are a very good team and have real shot at third place if Churchie and BBC fall over. That will be enough to motivate the mountain men to get a big score here. Grammar will have to wait another year to chalk up a win, but I'm sure the bus will stop at the Gatton Maccas for a soft serve on the way back home, that'll make the trip worth it.

my picks for tomorrow

BBC vs State BBC by 12
Toowoomba vs Grammar TGS by 20+
Ipswich vs Terrace Terrace by 5
Nudgee vs Churchie Nudgee by 7

I am tipping the Nudgee/Churchie game and Ipswich/Terrace to be the closest matches of the round, with a sneaky suspicion that there will be an upset to my tips.

Wasn't there some incorrect import buzz on the NC 15A's and those in the know communicated that it was the result of a Coaching change and some selection re-wiring that saw some boys come from lower level teams in years prior ?

And then when you look at how well the 16's and 1sts execute.....the 2nds ......I wouldn't have thought that , generally speaking , there are "coaching issues" at NC beyond the typical level of parental disaffiliation ( usually borne out of an perceived individual rissoling )

Nudgee chums ?

True or False ?

My understanding is that the team has had some injuries but are really the same boys (when fit and available) as over the last season or two, they are coming back to the field a bit for sure (as anyone would expect) but remain a dominant team.

The style of play they are playing is different to years gone by and one wonders if that is to do with where they are headed rather than where they have been - if you get my meaning.

Hint NC cares more about 2017 than by how much they win games in 2015
